OMG! Tell me about it! Both Memories of Alhambra and Vagabond felt so bad because of the abrupt cut, with no end, and no 2nd season either! I loved dramas because of the format. 16 or so episodes with a definite end instead of going on for years like the English shows. Where movies were too short to do a story justice and shows were too long and dragged out, dramas seemed to be the perfect middle ground! But seeing the number of dramas going into the season format saddens me.

Yeah! It's become an additional filtering criteria. But I haven't figured it out yet. And I agree, if I want the western stories, I'd rather watch a western movie or show.

I agree. The whole reason I was drawn to Korean dramas was that they were different from the American shows. But the globalization and involvement of Netlfix at a production level has started to steal that charm away. I used to enjoy most of the dramas I watched when I started, but now, 7 years later, I find myself disliking a lot more.
