he’s getting typecasted a lot so people don’t see a lot of range in his acting. this is the exact type of problem with cha eunwoo. they see you get popular for one role and then keep casting you as that. imo once he starts getting more diverse acting roles he’ll really show his range! he was really good in Dear X and The Sound of Magic. people are complimenting his acting skills in Family By Choice as well, i haven’t watched it so i can’t say but really all he’s missing are characters that are a bit more diverse. he’s a great actor and deserves to have a chance of showing it!
