At the halfway point of this drama and for a low-budget cdrama I am impressed. Looking past some production issues, I love it. I want to follow the lead actors in other things they do. We'll see if that changes after I finish it😆👀
i recommend anyone interested in this drama to skip the first 6 eps to save yourself frustration, anger, annoyance, clearly avoidable situations and repetition😒
I was on the fence about this drama but wasted to watch it for the plot and the lead actress. I get why some people were talking about chemistry between the two leads. But as the drama progresses I can see why there’s seems to be a little bit of a disconnect between the two. But we see that there are memories and history between them. But it’s not always clear to the both of them as the episodes unfold. However, once you understand that, you can understand that it seems to be natural for them to be together and love each other and care for each other even though they don’t fully know why. And after like 2 or 3 episodes of slowness the plot in the story really progressed. And we get to those answers(finally). And I’m invested now; I’m on episode 17 so I think that people should kind of hang in there. I know people have been comparing this to I think the K drama BLACK. Which I gave up on after an episode and a half just because of the awkwardness, the extreme plot twist and the age difference between the main leads. In my opinion, the story just didn’t seem to work out following the end of episode one when that big reveal happened. Regardless, I think that the Devil Punisher is a Taiwanese drama that should be watched and really given a chance. Because there are some elements especially between the second romance leads in the story that tie everything together.
Haven’t watched any of these yet but am looking for new ones to try. I think I’ll look into Lucky Romance because I want something a bit more light hearted. Thanks for this list :-)
I liked your review for this show! I am almost finished with it myself and for some reason I've been having a hard time with Choi Jin Yeo & Jung Young Jun in this as a couple. I liked that you talked a bit more about Jung Young though because I like how his personality is in the NG cuts but not his character on the show. His character is just too immature and weird and not good enough for Man Goo, but from what you've said about him, I'm going to look into other things that he's done because it seems like I'd love him in any other role than this one.
I like this drama. It has a lot of great character draw and good dynamics (and I'm only 7 eps in) but why has Ms. Hwang Jung Eum had so much work done? It's becoming difficult to watch her scenes because her expressions feel so stagnant :-/
EP 2: hmm..there are so many things happening in this episode..and those scenes are not quite connecting together(?)...there's…
I'm right there with you! I found the bits of Na Bong Sun's character from EP1 more interesting than that of Shin Soon Ae's when she possessed her. I'm not sure if I will continue to follow this drama sadly :/
