I don't know why the previous comment was deleted but as it said, DFQS don't know anything about CH and XLH's engagement nor XLH herself, at least that's what we have been shown so far. DFQS just knew starting first few episodes that XLH will marry CH based on the mirror and later on, in ep26, he recognize she was goddess of Xishan.
The ending was the only bad side in 2521😭 Aside that, the journey was the most beautiful and I will cherish…

As far as I understand, she wanted to escape Cangyan Sea, but not the most clever way because she didn't expect all the responbilities they throw at her/DGQS (she was muttering something like that at the hall) so she gave up at the end and appreciate her life as DFQS for the time being, remember when she wanted some information from SQ about how DFQS used to be in general. Things pile up as DFQS himself escape from the prison and they make a deal that he will not lock her anymore.

What I didn't like is the execution of the last ep in 2521. They give us 15 episodes of beautiful memories and wrapped up everything with one last episode of BE like it was just forced to be like that. So yes, why bother give us all that if at the end it will be bad. I agree with you, I still have faith on the scriptwriter of LBFaD adding to the iQiYi sweet on series, they will give us HE.
