This movie is too good, ive rewatched it two times thats how good it is. Its a mix of genre's despite that its still good, ive never seen this kind of plot before. The acting is so good actor Austin Lin portrayed it so well and also Greg Hsu. The ending is too bad though i wish we couldve gotten a reincarnation as the characters said throughout the movie about getting a reincarnation. They should create a second movie about maomao reincarnating and the officer finding him. The ending is what dissapoints me 😔. Taiwanese BLs are a rare sight
Beautifully crafted film, from its breathtaking cinematography to its emotionally rich plot and powerful performances. Every element was done with care, and I was deeply moved throughout. It captures the struggles of queer youth during a time when acceptance wasn’t common, making the story even more poignant and heartbreaking. What makes it even more special is how rare Taiwanese BL films are these days. It’s raw, real, and deeply emotional. Many have praised it for its authenticity and the chemistry between the leads, and I wholeheartedly agree. It quickly became one of my all-time favorites. I’d watch it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a queer film that’s both beautiful and meaningful. 🫂🫂Was this review helpful to you?
I wasn't expecting this to be that good!!
I actually heard about this series 2 years ago i think and i only watched it now. I thought it was overrated and yk the typical thai bl you watch, my thought was proven wrong, this series left a huge impact on my views on thai bls that are popular, ever since i watched it ive started to watch other Thai bls, this series was the 2nd one i actually finished. Now the series IT SOO GOOD, the plot is great especially the acting, the acting was so good to the point people started to think they were actually together. I want a season 2 please gmmtv. Overall a nice series i would recommend it to my friends, only if they weren't homophobic lols. 🙉🙉Was this review helpful to you?
Why The On1y One Leaves a Lasting Impact as a BL Series
One of the best Taiwanese series I’ve watched. While the plot is a familiar one in BLs, this film sets itself apart by showcasing the realness of emotions and how they gradually come to light. It feels authentic and heartfelt. It's unfortunate there's no season 2—I’d love to see the story continued. I also read parts of the novel, and the film does an amazing job of staying true to it, capturing its essence and emotions perfectly. It’s rare to see such an accurate adaptation, and that's what makes this series even more special. I also really liked how the actors played their roles—my favorite character is Gao Tianyang. He's so fine and cheerful, and his energy adds so much to the story.💋💋Was this review helpful to you?
