Acting of male couple was very stiff. Annoying third party - Han na. Is there a rule that in korean drama must…
There was a rival girl in the original though, 2 of them in fact, that jr high track team manager girl (the one that Sano saved from the car) and also Kagurazaka's little sister Tamami.
They kind of got emphasized and rolled together into one character for this, though.
Great article! I'll be looking forward to the next part. :)
I have only seen the first season of Gokusen, but have been planning on watching the other seasons for some time now. You may have just convinced me to get on with it already.
The best part of Gokusen for me besides seeing the students mature and make better decisions with their life, was all the little jokes that were sprinkled around. They were silly, but still believable unlike some other dramas I've seen where the jokes are so over the top it screams at you that you're watching a drama (I mean you Hana Kimi).
I've also added the other 2 dramas you've mentioned to my list. They look pretty interesting. :)

Thanks for sending it :) I like your profile too. It's so colorful :)
I'm totally for the The Kid-at heart type of guys. Enrique from Flower Boy Next Door and Nakatsu from Hana Kimi…
Nakatsu! I fell so hard for that guy way back when during the manga. The dramas have just added to my love. Seems to me he's more of a cross between forver-there and kid-at-heart type guy.
I tend to melt all over the kid-at-heart type. I admit I am extremely weak this type. But I don't want to date…
What I liked about Jeremy from the beginning was the amount of depth his character had when really he was mostly around to be cute and silly. Most cute/silly characters aren't so well developed.
When I start watching FBND (very soon) I think I will like Enrique for this same reason based on what I've heard about him. (I didn't watch it before because I can't stand the wait for new episodes. it kills me!)
I tend to melt all over the kid-at-heart type. I admit I am extremely weak this type. But I don't want to date these guys. I want to smother them with affection. (this makes me sound a bit creepy, lol, but they are like puppies- don't you just want to squeeze them?)
It's the passion of the god-complex, the loyalty of the forever-there and the devotion of the silent type that really make my heart flutter. I agree it depends on each character though, and also your feelings/mood when you watch a drama.
When I watched You're Beautiful the first time I was head over heels for JGS's moody TaeKyung (I felt ShinWoo was so bland). The next time I watched, I was more absorbed with ShinWoo than ever with JGS wondering how the heck did I think he was bland the first watching. He was subtle, not flashy, and having adjusted to the glare of JGS I was free to appreciate his character for what he was.
OMG the cute guys in this drama! <3 These guys and Oh Yi Na are what have kept me watching. Aside from her quirky name Pan Da Yang is a sort of pathetic and forgettable character. Although I don't find her annoying, I suspect many will.
I had STRONG suspicions about the plot twist unusually early in this drama (around episode 5, I think). I was kind of disappointed about that. I'm not usually able to figure out these things so far ahead of time.
I loved Tegoshi Yuya so hard from the very beginning of this movie <3 Freaking adorable.
Also Emma Roberts. I kept thinking 'That girl looks soo much like Emma Roberts, but no way can that be her. She's not that terrible of an actress.' Turns out it WAS her. Maybe she had trouble because she had to pretend to understand Japanese?
I wanted to see this for Taguchi Junnosuke, but kept putting it off because it sounded so dumb. Once I started watching I was still skeptical for the first few episodes, but I have ended up really enjoying this. I love Bages Minami as Yuri :)
It's much, much funnier than I expected. To me it's funnier than Ouran HS Host Club and Hana Kimi. Some parts are silly, but it really had me laughing out loud at a few scenes each episode (unusual for me because I hardly ever laugh out loud at all when I watch a show by myself).
Seto wears a skirt over jeans for most of the movie. I find this fashion to be pretty weird.

there are a lot of characters that fall into this cross-type, I think. Almost tsundere.
