MAME writes about a lot of toxic and problematic things. Dubious to no consent before sexual contact, stalking, domestic violence, and even rape to love story lines. Not that every situation she writes is like this but it's recurring themes in most if not all of her works.
It's also true that violence is just a lot more common in Thai dramas so it's more normalized which bothers a lot of international viewers.

Tul's novel is named Breath and you can find a partial translation with some searching. It's very graphic (violent) and I just couldn't read it, but the little i did read (along with a synopsis of the rest) is pretty intense.

This is based on a book. They have sex in the book. Just because this is not shown in the series does not make this bromance instead of gay characters.

the issue is that they had intended to air the show later in the year and were offered an earlier time slot and they took it. well that and this virus that no one seems to remember is seriously affecting so many productions right now.. things would have likely been fine without the virus affecting filming
