lol, I meant that HE had lady hair (I actually typed out 'ajummah hair' at first but changed it when I realized it was a pretty stylish hairstyle for an ajummah)...but yeah, if she's a beautician, then that makes no sense either.
How are the real life hair stylists who do this to attractive people still getting work?
I am a non k-pop-er too.. and every time someone mentions G-dragon or TOP i have to google them .. i'm still not…
About Heartstrings... I forgot about I Will Forget You, but absolutely loved You've Fallen For Me (Jung Yong Hwa) and Star (Kang Min Hyuk). The best thing about that drama was its music!
As for You're beautiful, I preferred the Japanese version of Without Words, but I agree that song is great.

cont...:)
Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is another book I really liked. It's really short, but extremely well written (at least to me). It draws you in from the first line: 'The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in it's turning.' <3
I'm going to look up the books you mentioned too :)
I don't watch MVs until I've seen a show. They are too spoilery for me!

I went to see of A Midsummer Night's Dream just a few days ago. The local high school had their final performance before they went to the state finals. They've been in the top 3 for the last 5 years and won twice durring that time, so it was pretty good!
So you're one of those drama kids, eh? I was in choir myself (for 7 yrs). We went to an opera once, but everyone complained because it was in Italian and they had to read subtitles, lol!
For some reason I'm alot less forgiving when a book character acts arrogant and condescending, yet when I watch a drama I'm ok with it if they change. I think I just couldn't look past Mr. Darcy's past transgressions.
I mostly either like books because they have a good story or because they have unusual writing styles. Robin McKinley is a really good word-builder. The other two books I mentioned are more silly, but I have read them again and again!
it's because no one wants to watch a grubby poor guy run around after the girl.
oh wait, they did that in Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (i know it's about Kdrama, but hey, only Kame could look so good in dirty coveralls)

(cont... I am long-winded, lol)
I get freaked out easily so I don't like to read mysteries, though I have read and enjoyed some Agatha Christie.
If I just had to choose a favorite book it would probably be Sense & Sensibility. If I could only read one book for the rest of my life that would be it. (about P&P, I am probably the only person alive who didn't fawn all over Mr. Darcy, though I loved Elizabeth) I like books for many reasons. I read a lot of rewritten fairy tales too. Some of my other absolute favorites:
*The Hero & the Crown - Robin McKinley (favorite author)
*Howl's Moving Castle - Diana Wynn Jones (I really didn't like the anime of this for some reason)
*Ella Enchanted - Gail Carson Levine (love the book but still haven't seen the movie)
I was excited to watch Shut Up FBB, until someone spoiled it in the comments on the drama's page. I've been putting it off since then.

You're talking about 49 Days right? I'm putting it off until I'm wanting a drama like that. You have to be in a certain mood.
I used to read more than I do now too, though I do read some. My 'to read' pile of books is gigantic! (probably close to 100 books; I buy them at thrift stores super cheap)
For a while when I studied Poe in school I was obsessed with The Telltale Heart. At one point I had it mostly memorized, lol :) Shakespeare has such an amazing way with words, and when he couldn't find a word for something he just made it up. I love that. My favorite (by far) is A Midsummer Night's Dream.
I haven't enjoyed romance novels. IDK why because I (usually) must have some sort of romance in dramas. I think I'm turned off by the gratuitous sex scenes in many of them. Just not my thing. I only recently (past year) moved on from the YA section at my library for that very reason.

I'll have to see how I do tomorrow. The first episode was posted really quickly, so I bet the second will be too. Or we could stop lying to ourselves and decide to watch it already, lol!
I'm ok with some spoilers (saying it's a happy or sad ending) but not ok with others (telling which characters die). It depends. Sometimes I spoil myself on purpose, but it's usually because I've lost interest in a drama (Koizora and Big) I never spoil myself about books though. Not sure why.
Do you read alot? What kind of books? I like fantasy and some classics (mostly Jane Austen).

Yes she did. She was in the first episode. It was cute :)
Yeah, I've never watched an airing drama either. But I know it would be horrible because I like to marathon 3 or 4 episodes at a time for romantic comedies and melodramas. I hate getting interrupted! Sometimes when there's a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode and I need to go to bed I stay up for an extra 10 minutes watching the beginning of the next episode just so I can know what happens!
Thinking about it, I watch shows while their airing all the time for western shows. I remember during the first season of LOST my whole family was glued to the screen and nearly every episode we were left going 'NOOOOO!!' or 'what the heck just happened!?!' when that 'da-da.....LOST' came up.
I think you're talking me into watching while it airs! :)

I'm hoping that having the first episode to rewatch will keep my willpower strong to hold out until it finishes airing. (we'll see how that goes!)
It's pretty much scene by scene, but there are some new scenes too(about 15% new scenes? idk). And of course everything has that Taiwanese spin on it. I don't watch many Tdramas but I love YAB and Jiro Wang so much I couldn't wait. It's the first drama in a long time that even the preview had my heart racing.
They played clips from the rest of the season instead of the normal 'preview for the next episode' at the end. Based on that I think most of the episodes will have a similar amount of new scenes. It's enough to make it seem fresh, but not so much I felt like I was spoiling myself by watching the first episode.
This sort of sounds like I'm trying to tempt you to come to the dark side with me! lol :)

Well, I know some people didn't like it, but I'm surprised to hear that I'm the only one you've met!
I'm exactly the same way! I'd rather wait for a series to complete than have cliffhangers hanging over me. I have only given in one time, and recently too. I watched the first episode of Fabulous Boys raw (which I never do) within a few days of it airing. I just couldn't stand it! I had heard it was nearly scene by scene to You're Beautiful (it was) so I figured I could re-watch it a few times while waiting for the rest of the episodes. I am DYING to continue as it airs, but I know I'll regret it later if i do!
Exactly!! I didn't realize we thought so similarly! Now I'm going to closely investigate your list :)
OK, I'll let you know what I think. I'll probably be starting it next week. I'd like to start it now but I'll be without internet for a few days soon and don't want to be in the middle of it when that happens. I can't stand waiting!

I'm probably going to start Nine: Nine Times Time Travel next because everyone's flipping out over it.
I LOVE Me Too, Flower. In fact, I recently rewatched it. It's easily in my top 10 dramas. Yoon Shi Yoon is really awesome in it. I enjoyed his character so much more than in FBND. I liked the female lead too. She's struggling with disappointments in her life and general unhappiness. Not too common for a female lead, at least not in the dramas I've seen.
And, if it's the person I think they just did it to me! lol :)

Well, he's not that well known, and his expression makes him harder to identify. It's Hamao Kyousuke. It's actually a shot from the same photo shoot as his MDL profile pic ( http://mydramalist.com/actor/1523/hamao-kyousuke ). He's also the same guy in the very middle of all those glasses pictures I've got up on my profile :)
Pretty awesome. Amazing chemistry! I could feel it from him from practically the first episode. I didn't get that spark of real life attraction from her until somewhere around episode 9, but once it was there these two blew me away!
