I think the one having trouble understanding English is you, because I cited and shared data, including Maoyan’s, while you haven’t shown a single thing besides empty claims. Anyway, good night, day, or morning, wherever you are. I have a life beyond the internet. I’m done here, I’m not wasting any more time on a hater pretending to be a fan. 🙄

@Nightingale009, If you’re using MDL as a way to judge a Chinese drama, that already says a lot, the pathetic one here is you. China doesn’t care about our opinions. Do a bit of research on how they actually evaluate things, then come back to comment. Like I said: being popular doesn’t mean it was good (and honestly, it wasn’t, the second part was really bad), it just means it got a lot of attention, whether positive or negative.

@dreamoverdosed, You clearly have trouble understanding what "popularity" actually means. Being popular doesn’t equal quality. The sponsorship rankings I shared show how much brands used the drama’s screen time for advertising. And "real-time" means the data keeps changing, even after it ended, people are still watching and talking about it. Earlier today it was ranked first, it changes constantly!! You keep saying it wasn’t successful, yet you haven’t shown a single piece of data to back that up. I’m literally laughing at you, you have no idea what you’re talking about and still try to argue. You’re just a pathetic hater pretending to be a fan. Try being less ignorant and pathetic, for God’s sake.

What?? But I mentioned the sources from the very beginning, you just didn’t bother to check and still insist I’m lying. Anyway, here’s the real-time Maoyan link and the full advertising ranking table, the rest you can look up yourself: https://piaofang.maoyan.com/web-heat#2
And like I said, just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean it flopped there. It was a commercial and popular success on the platform. Cheng Yi’s character led the popularity rankings for several days. If you want the data, check reliable sites, not X. I followed it while it aired, I do this with all the dramas I watch, and I usually watch more than one at the same time.

These are the numbers from when it aired, which I followed at the time. If you care that much, go check for yourself, okay? And you know, ''definitely a huge hit in China'' and ''it wasn't the most popular drama of the year'' don’t cancel each other out — something can be really successful during its airing without being the top drama of the year. At no point did I say it was the most popular drama of the year, just that it did well in China. I didn’t lie, and yeah, you clearly don’t get what I’m talking about. Not liking the drama (the second part really was bad) is one thing, making up that it flopped is another. 🙄

Oh my... If you don’t know what Maoyan, Lighthouse, or advertising stats mean, it’s clear you didn’t understand what I was talking about or where I got the info from. Those numbers here don’t matter to the Chinese audience, only what counts there. And I never said it was the most popular drama of the year, I thought it was implied that I was talking about the time it aired.

I didn’t lie, the data’s from Maoyan and Lighthouse, plus the popularity rankings released by iQIYI and the advertising stats. Just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean it flopped in China. And popularity doesn’t mean it’s a good drama, it just means it got tons of views and made money, even with all the criticism.
Is Sword and beloved become a hit or flop in China ???
It was a commercial success, keeping high popularity and strong viewership throughout its entire run. Cheng Yi’s character even topped the weekly popularity rankings (also in October). So yeah, even if it wasn’t a huge hit here, it definitely was in China.
Concordo com quase tudo, exceto pelo fim do imperador. ele era tão cruel quanto, ou até mais que o irmão (que se tornou o que é por causa dele), só fiquei realmente mal pelo o que aconteceu com a princesa.
You didn't watch the post-credits extra scene on the last episode, did you?
He opened his eyes before the post-credits scene, so yeah, he’s alive. The post-credits just show them going about their lives, even as demons, they can still have kids and are keeping their human identities for now, just like before they got together.
I have become a big Mo Caihuan / Han Li shipper. I think the main reason is because I can see he treats her differently…
I think it’s really a matter of perspective. I even saw comments the other day saying the opposite, that Wan is his ''true love'' and he always ''goes back'' to her. Guess I’ll have to read it myself to make up my own mind.
It was only a rumour but i wish so bad that it had more eps ^^
Might just be a rumor, but it’s kinda obvious this drama wasn’t meant to be just 24 eps (maybe like 30?). So many scenes got cut early on, and a bunch of storylines didn’t get the attention they deserved, like Du Shang’s dad, or even Du Shang and Cai Fang Yuan, who barely had any lines. The ending was super rushed too. It’s a good drama, but it could’ve been amazing.
