I got a little emotional this episode. I'm 100% sure on how I feel about the addition of a kid in the Jun Yeong + Bo Yeong couple because I really liked how comfortable/easygoing their relationship has been to this point. I think though my favorite thing about the show is the people that comment. I'm so proud of them. My dream came true; hacker couple are working things out and blanket women opened her window (I would of preferred to seen her outside but I'm not picky) I really do want to see them get together like someone suggested and celebrate. I was kind of worried that HY was going to leave them hanging but I'm glad everyone got closure. Ah, I feel really warm inside. My heart hurt though when Jun Soo was crying and the end scene with HY. Seeing Ah Ra on the verge of tears really did me in as well. She put up with far too much for far too long. I may of criticized the show a bit and I still stand on some of my opinions but overall I would recommend this to some one. It's been a great journey.
It's kind of weird though that we got more scenes of Yoon Gi + his women making out/etc than JY + BY skinship moments at this point. Unless we're going to get a flashback or something this week, it's a bit odd.
How is she even pregnant? I feel like I've missed a scene.. When did they sleep together?
She slept over at JY's place when they were both extremely drunk + when they came back to the office the next day they both seemed a little out of it/awkward It was more hinted than shown.
Have you watched any of the episodes yet or are you just judging from the summary? It's cool if it's not your style but you should give it a chance if you haven't, the story is actually quite good.
The hacker couple (That's what I'm calling them now...my precious babies) worked together! There's…
I can't forgive her because I'm not her husband. I have no history or need to understand her because I did not bear any children with her. HW has forgiven her (to an extent) the issue that remains is forgetting which is what is making the show realistic. By showing that he's having a difficult time hugging her, it is showing that he may have forgiven her but he hasn't so quickly moved on. That's all I was saying, no biggie.
The hacker couple (That's what I'm calling them now...my precious babies) worked together! There's hope for them! Yay! I got a little teary eyed when everyone joined together to protect SY. I haven't 100% forgiven her but at the end of the day it wasn't anyone else's decision/business but their own. OMG THOUGH BY + JY ARE GOING TO HAVE A REAL BABY NOT A TEST ONE WHAT WHAT WHAT. Also, on a serious note though I'm glad that they showed that HW hesitated to hug SY because it's more realistic. Trust isn't so easily rebuilt. A person can forgive but it's not so easy to forget.
The Jun Yeong + Bo Young couple has no freaking chill. Talking about babies and living together. All their parts were my favorite this episode. They were like a cute mini family.
1) I understand that the SY & HW situation isn’t black and white. In the end I don’t think either them are complete victims in their marriage/parenthood. I’m not on either of their sides.
2) Do I pity SY to a certain extent? Yes. However I find that the show has completely taken the direction of trying to minimizing what she did/trying excuse her actions. There’s a whole process to having an affair. Here’s a whole post on the matter: http://perks-of-being-a-blackgirl.tumblr.com/post/151872696923#notes // I strongly believe that the time and energy that she invested in the affair could of easily been spent trying to fix the problems in their marriage or at the very least into her son. There were several alternatives that could of been taking. Example: cutting down her hours at work, etc. People can say they want about HW’s personality and mistakes in their marriage but at the end of the day their family was broken because of HER. Her child is in this awkward/sad situation because of HER. She made the decision to take him away from HW and it frustrates me to no end because it’s clear she struggles juggling both her career and her child. That’s perfectly fine (most people have a hard time) but I don’t understand why she’d purposelessly go out of her way to make things harder for herself/Jun Soo. Her decision was selfish and I 100% blame her for JS getting her hurt. I need to the show to emphasize the damage that she’s done and whether it was worth it or not.
3) That being said HW isn’t perfect either. It was refreshing to see his ex-girlfriend point it out and I’m glad that they’re showing his negative side more. I understand that he’s in a lot of pain right now but I need him to reel it in and make some solid/proper decisions because the back and worth is getting repetitive and annoying. HW without a doubt is a work in progress but at the end of the day: he took his vows seriously/to heart. Humans are flawed but it bothers me that there are people out there that think he deserved to be cheated on/trying to justify it.
4) I don’t think SY has very much ground to be upset that HW posted their story online. He didn’t expose any of their identities for one and secondly, why is considered fine for her to invest her feelings/problems to SW but not okay for HW to do something similar?
5) In the end I don’t think their relationship is repairable and I’ll be very unhappy if the show tries to make them come back together. I don’t mind them working out a system with JS but the damage has been done. The trust is lost and there’s already been too much fighting. They’ve crossed a line that is extremely difficult to come back from.
6) I’m really hoping that Ah Ra divorces Yoon Gi before the show is over. He clearly has some kind of addiction to having affairs and I’ll be extremely offended if they try to downplay/give him a sudden change in personality later on. The damage is done and he’s clearly not very remorseful. I hope that Ah Ra can meet a better man who doesn’t just stick around for maid service/money.
7) I’m loving the relationship between JY and BY, it’s so laid back and comfortable. I’m enjoying their scenes together a lot. The only thing that would be nice in the future is to find out the reason that his ex-wife left. Because it’s one thing to be get married really fast and end up divorcing due to having rushed but they dated for such a long time beforehand so I’m curious to see the woman’s perspective.
8) Side-note: It was kind of expected but I still found myself somehow really shocked when the wife of the bickering couple suddenly brought up divorce. I know they’re not the focus of the show but my heart kind of dropped a little, especially for their son. If there’s one thing that I like is seeing all these different sides and perspectives of minor characters. I’m rooting for the chick who hides in her room, I need to see her living a happier outside life by the end of the show. At least someone needs someone happiness.
I'm still loving the show to an extent, however I have so many frustrated/upset thoughts on the direction the writers seem to be going after watching the latest episode. I've come too far to quit and like I said, I'm still enjoying certain aspects but I suspect I'll be back in a few hours/days to rant about what I'm feeling.
I personally really enjoyed Who Are You quite a bit. I thought that So Yi Hyun and Kim Jae Wook worked very well together + the story was quite solid (a little slow but I appreciate it as a whole regardless) The only major complaint that I have is that I didn't feel that Shi On and Gun Woo had very good/solid chemistry.
Side note: I wish Wang Jung was included in more of these alternative endings/artworks. Everyone's free to…
Same. I was kind of indifferent toward him throughout the show because I didn't like him or dislike him but he really did shine as a person in the last few episodes. Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed them as well.
Side note: I wish Wang Jung was included in more of these alternative endings/artworks. Everyone's free to ship whatever they want but it's bothersome that he keeps getting erased out of the picture when he technically raised their child. The show and fans seem to think that So was the only important person in Hae Soo's life. Personally I'm part of the minority that didn't mind the ending.
I'm conflicted. I'm getting the impression that the show is trying to get me to sympathize with Soo Yeon for having such a hectic/busy life but I can't fully do that because in the back of my mind I'm like this is the same women who managed to have time for an affair. And while I'm still 100% enjoying the show, if I were to be honest/blunt I don't feel like either Soo Yeon or Hyeon Woo are very good parents/significant others. I feel like they're both severely lacking in various areas. They're both quite flawed (They haven't fully addressed Hyeon Woo's flaws in comparison to SY but I'm hoping that they will in the next couple of episodes) . In the end for me, I think they should divorce and work something out with the kid. I can't imagine them recovering from this.
I don't understand the negativity around the concept. I don't think the show is glorifying or encouraging affairs (I'm writing this post at episode four so that could change later on) so there's no reason to feel bad watching it. Even with a character like Yoon Gi, there's a constantly reminder in the background of the damages/consequences of having an affair. The dialogue is quite good and the acting is superb. There are a lot of raw emotions with a nice balance of humor.
If you're looking for a decent male lead: I Need Romance 3. They really created a warm and laid-back lead and some of the dialogue was refreshing to read. He made a few mistakes but overall he's definitely much more pleasant than most male leads. Keep in mind though that the second male lead...let's just say you probably won't like him because I couldn't stand him.
While I agree with some of your statements,I also feel like you haven't watched enough dramas . I checked out your list and read your previous articles as well and I find them to be a bit premature in a sense. There are plenty of women who could of fit in your 'Top 10 Characters In Kdramas' (Whether you 'like' them or not is your own opinion but the title suggested a factual article, instead of a subjective one) and same with this one. Don't get me wrong, the drama world is very male centered and always has been but I'd always suggest watching more because your credibility isn't all that great in my opinion.
