I 've not been able to catch up with empress ki at all but from what I have seen this is worth watching . Action comedy romance gender bender (but quiet later) conspiracy politics this is fully spiced up drama. Obviously Jo Jin Moo is good I like him too but u also can't help loving Chinese emperor later ( but certainly not at first)
give it a try n see if this suits ur taste

It is rare to find a korean drama where there is many strong women character which I really like about miss korea . Including oh ji yong n go hwa jung also president ma who is such a respectable and strong character.. even the opponent (forgot the name) trying to get acknowledged as a daughter looks strong to me. Thinking this is in 1997, more than a decade ago in korea which is a male dominant society .. this drama is peculiar n I love that aspect very much . And I also love oh ji yong 's family especially her mom (dad)
I guess u r dramathoning rt now ,, did u get to the episode where mom convinces the family members to support oh ji yong's decision ,??
you forgot Seven Samurai !! it's the first Japanese classic that I've watched! it's amazing

I like the main female lead she has a strong character unlike common frail n undercover types generally found in Korean rom-com , she knows her place n is clear minded in what she wants and she doesn't get swayed in between main n 2nd leads ... in this series I really love jang seung seang and GoHwa Jung relationship although that is after couple of eps
Amami yuki, yonekura Ryoko, mizuki Alisha comes to my mind when it comes to strong female lead roles ...
I agree with lee bo yong in IHYV . Currently Cheon song yi from man from stars and Go hwa Jung from miss korea are strong female characters in my eyes ..

i hoped i could do so too but if i find an interesting synopsis i get too weak before temptation .. that's the way i am n i easily drop dramas-if it can't keep capturing my interest ... as a result i have long currently watching list as well as dropped ones too..i admire ur compact list ... it gives a feel that u have so much control ....
well 49 is a teen drama where the soul of father gets inside the body of his teen son after an accident ,, its light hearted n fun to watch .. this is not an intense complicated or dephtful1 drama n u shouldn't watch if u only like good actors ...
Miss Korea n Boku no ita Jikan both are excellent so far .U are right Japan does this genre very well.
I also get the feeling of resistance to watch a new drama where most of the cast are unfamiliar ... but isn't that a way in discovering new favs.. ha ha
btw how is one warm word ??? i watched ep 1 but i coudn't understand it at all so i immediately dropped ... the lead actress i like her a lot so was wondering how the drama proceeds ???

the thing is that i recently moved out of state n currently looking for a new place to rent... so all my dramas which i had been watching are in kind of hold position... but still if i get a chance i watch 'boku no ita jikan' , 'the man from the stars', 'miss korea' and desperately waiting for more episodes of '49'(japanese one) to come out

when i first watched the movie i couldn't imagine that this movie was made in 1950 !!!!
