Very different premises, but the ridiculous humor is similar. They're also both Chinese BL-lites, where the creators are aiming at a BL demographic but it doesn't include any explicit kissing or confessions etc.
Both shows are microdramas adapted from the same source material, just created by two different production teams.
Both are short period dramas focused around politics in the royal court, and a royal prince vying for the throne. Both also BL-coded.
The general premise (gotta evacuate citizens from some nebulous African nation in turmoil) is pretty similar, and both are big action flicks.
