C-nets are so weird... There's the censorship and the virtue-policing already and still every chance they get, c-nets try to boycott and cancel more people. You would think they are all perfect, innocents themselves. Even Fan Bing Bing didn't deserve such a long banning. If a person has committed a crime, they should be punished for what they have done and based on laws. Not to get a public shaming!🤦♀️ I'm so sick of c-nets' witch-hunting and mob-mentality.
Gosh, I hope she'll make his life a living hell!🤭 I also hope he's really faking it because it'll be so much funnier if he knows what's happening and still has to suffer in silence.
Lol, I think most people who loved Yanxi palace, are already watching Royal Feast! for example, I was waiting for that show for as long as I've been on MDL!
LOL - I am glad you had so much fun with it, it comes across in your review. It is true the ending could have…
I guess. I never really enjoy a drama if everything wraps too perfectly. There has to be some flaw! I think it all comes down to what we want from the content we consume. I'm just never comfortable with pure escapism. I get bored with that very easily.
I've heard good things about this drama but then saw some dramatic feedback by users over the twist at the ending.…
Honestly the ending was still more cohesive than most average cdramas. The pace slows a bit and the plot isn't all sunshine and flowers by the end but I thought it was still good. I compare it to some other shows I have watched that I basically had to put the show on double speed in order to stomach the end and this show was still watchable. Very watchable. Plus, the ending made sense when compared to what the show was up to in its early episode. There were a steady number of deaths in the show, the main character made a point of putting everything behind her goals and her pursuits, the male lead had a revenge agenda, and the show repeatedly states in its actions that traditions and conformity encourage underhanded behavior that are hidden under their perfect façade. All of this is just confirmed until the last second. Plus there is almost 0 misunderstanding between the leads.

I just thought it made sense that some bad people would get away with it? Idk, I've been watching a lot of cookie cutter cdramas lately where everything wraps up with a neat little bow and every single person gets justice and just...it was very lame! And people do bad things and get away with them. That is something that happens🤷♀️

Haha, yeah I got really excited with this one. That was really my perspective. I usually get really irritated by the last arc of cdramas. They seem to undo the whole character growth. At least here everyone was steadily themselves until the end. And to be honest...I kind of like how some of the bad people got away.
Hiii! Long time no see!!!😄 I really loved this show! I just had such a fun time watching it. I totally agree that the grey flawed characters were the best detail here. I just loved the fact that our FL made mistakes and was so real and used underhanded ways to get her way. That was the first draw for me and despite the overwhelming public dislike for the ending, I think for me it was one of the few shows with an ending that didn't frustrate as much as it delighted.
