Nope! It's very heavy on politics. Fake politics but still annoying as hell.
Anyway... Like I said. It's super overhyped. The quality of the show doesn't support the hype. They totally used the famous cast to draw in viewership and then just didn't use the powerful cast they had in any meaningful way.

It's overhyped. The writing is pretty bad. The acting is good and production is professional but it really irritated me throughout. Give it a watch, see if you'll like it or not.
for Pingping's sake, I wish TJ can absolve NYS from her hatred towards NDY. It should be clear to her that NYS…
I agree and I think a child needs a good mother, much more than a rich grandfather. NDY can provide for surface needs but he would end up traumatizing the child and that's not remotely better than a physical illness.
I totally agree. I think her actions make perfect sense.
I disagree. It's not just about rationality. A mother would not sell her child into comfort. A mother would try her best to be a good mother and Tan Jing is doing amazing. I don't see any scenario in which giving her child away was logical or right. A lot of children with incurable diseases are born in poor families. That doesn't mean those families are doing the wrong thing or being stubborn if they don't give their child to a richer family who can provide for the child. That's an obsolete argument as far as I'm concerned. Considering her grief and trauma, it's totally logical that she would cut ties with the Nie family as she did. At that point, they had only caused her grief and loss. Hush money is not the same as providing. It's not even like the Nie dude would have taken the child, back then. The old mushroom is desperate for an heir now and that's why he's excited about Pingping. Had he known about the child back then, he probably would have called her a sl*t and claimed the child was not Nie Yusheng's at all and then threatened her until she went away because a sick grandchild would not have been ideal anyway.
From TJ's POV, NYS's father:- Forced TJ's dad into using doing a dodgy construction company (not confirmed, but…
I'm shocked she didn't straight up take her kid and flee in the night to a place where they wouldn't be able to find her ever again! To me it makes sense that she has no trust in them and every time it comes to the Nies she makes the most emotional decisions based on anger, fear, and resentment.

Yes, a lot of her decisions harmed them but it's still understandable why she did what she did. I can totally imagine her thinking that NYS might take her baby away at his father's behest so she was too afraid to ask him.

Tbh I see a trend in which people just judge poor characters more harshly. Add to that being a woman and it's like no one sees how hard her life is. She is trying her best and the fact that she is struggling is so real. I personally understand all her decisions. even if they aren't very logical, they are emotional decisions that make sense in her situation. I even understand her hatred for ML just for his proxy to his father. She experienced such a terrible grief, of course her actions and feelings would be affected.
