I don't like how people who care about Fl and know her real identity, won't tell her the truth. It seems like…
Her knowing of might also lead to some undesired outcome. Maybe she did something reckless in the past, and this is a way to protect her from such fate.
Master and shixiong put seals on her so that her identity won’t be revealed, they didn’t expect it wouldn’t help.
And Xiuyuan and Riyan clearly don’t want the repetition of the past. We have to wait and see what that secrecy is all about.
It seems that Yecha was his previous life. He reincarnated and lived a whole life as Xiuyuan, he's a different…
No idea, we don’t know yet.
But it is funny that when Lifei suggests when they cross Naihe river they both should drink Mengpo soup (it’s a myth that souls go there after death and drink soup to forget their memories, then reincarnate), he says he’d never drink it!
In an unbelievable plot twist, Ye-Ye's heir apparent is actually YeCha, so is Lei Xiu Yuan really the true chosen…
Yecha is not Ye Ye's heir. He was the king of Gaolu long before Ye Ye was born. Ye family were Yecha's followers. But since Yecha was thought dead, to protect Gaolu Ye Ye was acting as a fake king, and since he was young he himself needed protection, so he passed his identity to Lei Xiuyuan. But since Xiuyuan happens to be Yecha himself, he really was the true king of Gaolu all along...
I finished watching episodes 20-21, watched the preview for episode 22.If Lei Xiu Yuan remembered all of Ye Cha's…
It seems that Yecha was his previous life. He reincarnated and lived a whole life as Xiuyuan, he's a different person. He's got the memories of his past life, but he doesn't accept the responsibilities of the demon lord and doesn't want to hurt Lifei. Lifei also doesn't want him to become the big bad.
But I think he will be forced to accept it, in time. It feels like Yecha wan't truly evil, we don't know his backstory yet.
Finally. I've been waiting for this forever since the first trailer. Good timing of release. I've been disappointed…
People were saying it's 50/50 with considerable changes to storyline and some key plot points. So not following the novel exactly, but based on it anyhow.
So Im on episode 16 but did Li Fei's Master blind her power or block her? Is this why she is weak in the beginning?
Her meridians are sealed (we learn it in episode 2 when they test spiritual roots). She could not draw qi from inside her body, so she resorts to drawing talismans and manipulating qi outside her body. Now it seems that either her master or shixiong put many seals on her. However, she weakened those seals considerably with constant training.
No joke lol. Dual cultivation is very intimate, trying to force it can be considered an assault
Ahahaha it's gonna happen early in the next ep, you'll see for yourself. It wasn't called dual cultivation directly, but our smart girl understood what he was trying to do instantly lol
i think you are being way too critical. Can you pls understand their motives behind what they did? this is a very…
That's the issue, you claim he's not making any effort, but you have no idea how much effort is needed to let go when he's gone through such trauma. In fact, you don't care about his trauma.
You want him to behave in a way he is mentally not capable to, and only then you might descend to his level to feel a bit emotion for him, this is kinda... heartless, really.
The script is alright, why don't you try to analyze the main characters' motivations?Episodes 14 & 16 explained…
Ok, looks like we’re holding two entirely different viewpoints on storytelling.
You're judging the quality of the writing based on how comfortable the characters are to watch.
But writing is not bad just because it doesn't cater to your idea of romance. Real human trauma, guilt, fear - they don't express themselves in polite boundaries. Writers wanted to show us hurt people who don't know how to heal themselves yet.
Dismissing psychological depth as 'poor writing' just because it makes you irritated misses the entire point of a character-driven tragedy.
It's okay if you don't have the patience for that kind of emotional tension, but that's a preference, not a script flaw.

But why should he tell her anything~
Riyan, and even Lifei’s shifu and shixiong all know something but won’t tell! Maybe her knowing might lead to just repeating the same sad ending.
But it is funny that when Lifei suggests when they cross Naihe river they both should drink Mengpo soup (it’s a myth that souls go there after death and drink soup to forget their memories, then reincarnate), he says he’d never drink it!

Ye Ye is 叶 Ye (last name) + 烨 Ye (first name), just a usual name.
Yecha is written as 夜叉 and it's in fact a name or even species of a mythological being from folklore, also known as Yaksha.
But I think he will be forced to accept it, in time. It feels like Yecha wan't truly evil, we don't know his backstory yet.
That assessing tone, as if they met for the first time lol
Looks like Lifei's biggest fear is that Xiutuan turns into demon lord

Oh no! He's wearing a mask! I totally cannot recognise his clearly visible facial features!
Second, it is not impossible to feel compassion without approval.
And third, you might as well feel sorry for both sides, they're both suffering.
You want him to behave in a way he is mentally not capable to, and only then you might descend to his level to feel a bit emotion for him, this is kinda... heartless, really.
