I have a theory… in s1 lady maeda talks something about losing someone important a long time ago and now the feeling is the same with Master Jang. (the scene is the last talk between lady and master, before Chaek death’s). so I think that Chae Ok’s father was someone important in Lady Maeda’s life , which explain the revenge feeling. however I think that is something that it’ll be explored in s3.
