Can someone point out an instance of the choppy editing in any of the episodes? Have been reading comments about this but I personally donāt see itā¦? Lol, not trying to start anything here, just genuinely curious to see what some of you mean.

I just mentioned crying as an extreme example, but Iāll actually go back and rewatch the scene youāve mentioned - pretty curious to see if I might view it differently now.

Iām afraid that they don't even recognize this as problematic, since itās supposed to be romantic with him getting all hissy and needy over Uea, and in another series I wouldāve totally bought it (I think itās fun when one part gets harmlessly jealous), but taking into account Ueaās backstory King is a total red flag (for Uea) with the possessive way that heās acting. I low key held my breath after the cake scene for King to do something to hurt Uea. Happy that heās been just a harmless puppy so far š„²
Just watched ep 2... So we're getting the "stare into each other's eyes in slow motion after the love interest…
Was kind of thinking about the boundaries too. Like itās okay for King to drag Uea around and breathe down his neck whenever heās jealous, but once an ex does that (not taking about the r*pe scene, thatās obviously never OK) or a random dude even looks at Uea itās suddenly toxic. Whatās the difference? Is it okay just because itās King, the main love interest? I would be fuming if the person I like/love constantly stopped me from doing things just because they āknow betterā.
James acting is such a let down . He need make us feel the pain for Uea . But his acting lacks that. Net acting…
I actually like his acting and how they went for a more cold and aloof approach. As not an overly emotional person myself, to me this seems more realistic than e.g. crying (nothing bad with that, but I personally perceive it as overdramatic and kinda sopey). And I mean, at some point some people just kind of shut offā¦
Just finished ep. 5 and donāt really get why people have been complaining (I refrained from watching it when it aired because of the bad reviews). But so far so good, even better than the average Thai BL. Itās a little bit over dramatic and the plot is unrealistic (as it usually is in BLs anyaway) but the feelings are there and the story is interesting. The only thing that bugs me is how they always just stand around stiffly and talk at each other in every other scene (but thatās on directing and not acting). The acting of the main actors isnāt bad at all, a bit rough maybe, but itās kind of tricky too, since we as an audience canāt know for sure if some of the awkwardness is intentional or bleeds through due to lack of experience. Anyhow, the rest of the show will tell, I suppose š¤
Okay, first few minutes in and Cher seriously grates on my nerves (does he ever stop talking??). I usually like quirky characters š„² but oh, well, will give this a few more episode before I decide if itās a yay or nay for me.
I actually like Thiās character, heās what made me stay to watch this story. Now, I acknowledge that he can be very cringey and over the top but thatās precisely what appeals to me about his character (Iād even dare to say that he matures a tiny bit in later episodes). I find that his acting/character falls very well in line with the tone that this series tries to set, just as Noey can be a little weirdo now and then with his retro vibes and romantization of 80ās thug life. If we throw Thiās character in a story e.g. like Eclipse then I would totally agree too that heās unnecessary over the top, but here, in this particular story and in this comedic and kind of nostalgic setting, he fits perfectly.
