Am I the only one that doesnāt see the low budget everyoneās talking about? Sure thereās not many extras and things like that but the production is on par with any other usual Korean romcom out there, at least in my opinion and Iāve been inside the rabbit hole of kdramas for many years.... I like how they still stay true to the kdrama trope, if that makes any sense, since Iāve seen this type of fantasy romance in e.g. a Korean Odyssey, My roommate is a Gumiho and older ones such my Girlfriend is a Gumiho. Thereās so much worse BLs other there, so I donāt quite get why this one gets all the hate, just saying.
I donāt get why the comment section is so flooded, itās this quite a standard jdrama? I mean, if we look past the BL-tag this is how many jdramas usually are? Or at least the ones I watched during 00ās (e.g. Saikou no Rikon, Second Love, Sky of Love, Sunao no Narenakute and many more) I donāt get why people are so upset, one way or the other. I have been enjoying this show BECAUSE of the gray morality. But to each their own :)
it was the husband's sister wasnt it? i havent completed it yet. their " genetic" sociopathy , from dad to both…
Iām not too sure, but I think that The Innocent Man might be close but itās more angsty than FOE relationship-wise since the ML deliberately deceives the FL (and Iām not too sure about this one but older kdramas usually have a sad end, and thereās a bunch of older kdramas with this trope, eg. Bad Guy). I think Cheese in the Trap might fit too but itās a lighter romcom and doesnāt have the same suspense but the ML has a similar disorder as in FOE. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend The Devil Judge suspense-wise, but itās mostly bromance with one-sided angsty/dark romance. Have you seen Kill Me, Heal Me? Itās a lighter romcom where the ML has a multiple personality/identity disorder.
