Since IPYTM is coming out I figured I should probably catch up and watch ITSAY since I haven't gotten to it yet.…
Totally agree with you about the angst and the kiss, I loved the show as a whole since their chemistry was off the charts imho but the kiss was not as loaded as I thought it would be, what with them being constantly on the cusp of something explosive (I mean, that back hug/rub scene or the longing head butting!!?). And quite frankly I think some of the crying scenes were way too dramatic considering how fast everyone bounced back to normal afterwards. But yeah, as you mentioned - maybe it’s an age thing because when I was 15-17 every little thing did feel life altering but whatching this as an adult/being older those things are just a drop in the sea of many other things to come.
I really, really loved this even though I could have been without some of the prolonged crying sequences. This is totally a gem and I’ll probably rewatch it for all the beautiful and heartbreaking moments <3
This is hilarious! Love the 2gether and f4 references in ep 2 and omg that lil’ delulu song in Duean’s head as he’s walking over to the ‘cute’ girl at 13:40 in ep 2... I died !!
It is because they've use the same actor playing the younger version only in HS clothes while they've use a kid…
Of course, I totally understand that it was supposed to be their breaking moment of love, but there was something that did not sit quite right with me. I totally respect you opinion though and could still enjoy that moment for what it was, tender and sweet :)

Oh, true! I did react to that but had only a half formed thought about it, thanks for pointing it out, it makes more sense now. Actually, what I reacted to the most was when he asked the younger bro to sweet talk him and (to me) it was just so obvious how young and unsure yongjie was at that moment...
An unpopular opinion; I think that the older brother is just as creepy as the younger one and quite immoral too. I’m not new to step brothers to lovers thrope but there’s something that’s a little off, unnerving even, with how the show tells/presents their love story. And I’m excluding the drunken scene from this commentary, since that’s a totally another discussion on its own.
A nice and fun article! I also think that some hairstyles make even less sense if the drama is a little older, it’s like with fashion, quickly going out of style. I rember watching Goong and My Girl when they aired, thinking the hair and clothes looked cute but now, several years later I wouldn’t poke at it with a stick. But still love the classics.
Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this show to bits!
