The only thing she's killing is my desire to see that actress anywhere else. Don't like nor her character, nor…
oh, i'm so glad you knew that i posted my positive opinion in the hopes that you, specifically, would respond to my positive opinion with your unfavorable opinion! this was a lovely exchange, thank you so much! you're so clever!

those are all your own words though, i never said that. the only well written and developed character isn't the lead, i was trying to discuss the core attorney group and the secondary characters from that. but you wouldn't know, despite thinking so, because you've only read comments on /mydramalist dot com/ like the intellectual you are, honey!

i was never trying to encourage you to watch what you were already disinterested in, especially if it's a character piece about the titular character! if you need a well developed male character to make the female lead interesting, i got nothing else for ya except that i'm sure a whooooole lot of dramas are going to appeal to You! because like i said, the romantic lead is not part of the core of the cast! he is NOT THE FOCUS and what that tells you is that.... a secondary character/plot is more important than the importance of the... again, TITULAR CHARACTER, in a courtroom drama?

i am not arguing with you in the slightest, only coming from a personal standpoint where i check my interest in a show differently. not in a better way, only differently. and again, that's fair enough!
i'll only add my opinion that this show did seem to be written from the angle of another season coming, or at least possible. the male romantic interest is not part of the main-main "crew" of the story, he's secondary to that. while i would have LIKED more of his story, what we got from the direction the story was going in... made sense to me! it's not a drama focused on their romance, so his lack of screen time wasn't odd to me from a mostly courtroom-centric drama. it's not a Romantic Drama at the core, at all. it's a character driven one, and the center is youngwoo. that we don't get episodes dedicated to her love interest is fascinating to me – he isn't central to the core story! it's almost refreshing, to me! an interesting lady in the lead and the focus isn't the romance, it's just sprinkled in, so while we got some background with him, it wasn't any more than any of the other characters. i don't see that as a failing! but that's just my opinion.
& i'm not trying to change yours at all! i just think it's unfair to judge the male romantic partner any differently from the female best friend – they get about the same amount of care, development, and screen time. they're important but it's not ABOUT them in the story this season was telling.

and that's entirely fair! you just seemed interested enough to post here when the show was ending, so you seemed invested in some way, but if your way of sussing out the writing is to judge through comments on here then, like... that's fair! it's probably worked out well for you and you're not wrong, there's truly an endless output of shows to watch, instead! so watch what works for you, however you decide that. just weird to see someone who hasn't watched the show judging the writing when i'm coming here to celebrate the finale, you know? but like you said – it's not that deep! i hope the next one works for you!
So, first of all I have not seen even one scene of the show, so this comment is not about the show, but rather…
if your interest in a show is decided solely on the opinion of anonymous others, despite how close your professional life aligns with the subject matter, and you still aren't encouraged from what others are saying so you don't want to watch it, what else do you need to hear? if you're so fed up with female characters being used for male development that you're discouraged from starting a show solely ABOUT a female character... what exactly are you looking for?
On the contrary, I think Mi Jeong has come a long way too.1. At her job, she opened up more with her colleagues…
the peak gu reaches during the chase with changhee is such a perfect example! without his conversations with mijeong, we're only led to believe he would have quietly drank himself to death instead of caring about something again, like this family, to confront the past he's been hiding from.
My expressions are exactly the same as Mr. Gu's whenever he hears Mi Jeong talk....He is shocked every single…
her sincerity is what is shocking him, her newfound freedom of speech.
she is shocked with herself too, but committed. after feeling cornered into certain roles, familial or professional, she’s finally overcoming the rigid demands of what is expected of her. liberation is a slow-going thing for her because it has to be, it’s a practice she has to learn instead of suddenly awakening to overnight. she has spoken against her Tedious Boss and shocked her full-time co-workers because she could be fired despite her talent in an instant – she does not have the privilege nor ability to stand up for herself at work, but no woman in that workplace does. if she snapped at him for his comments about her wardrobe, her family would suffer from her lack of income, it’s that simple. she knows this and her growth is a silent thing but i don’t read for a moment that she is expecting, or wanting, anyone else to “do it for her”. this competition, especially after the previous nod to her design, is a step forward and her only real chance of standing up for herself in this line of work that won’t have her fired. it’s not fair but she knows that. her confidence has been lifting, episode by episode, at a pace that is slow but realistic. when her co-worker, a part-timer like her, praises her – she smiles…. “are you worshipping me?” she’s building confidence! she’s learning her worth, learning how to find and enjoy her heaven on earth.
mr. gu is not shocked by her “randomness” but by a mindset so different from his own, from anything he's seemingly ever known. she has taken Action consistently, in ways that may seem small but are monumental to her, especially in regard to mr. gu. she does not see herself as weird, but honest. those who claim to live so freely and happy are dishonest to her, and i agree. “this is how life is”? she’ll never do that.
if you have read this show so far as gu only pleasing her, i suggest a closer look. he’s finally Feeling again, after all. ❤️
my mistake! \_(ツ)_/¯ take care, now.
just say "i hate women" and log off!
