Those problems came about not because of the staff’s lack of research. As you’ve just said those 2 countries does not recognize korean cuisine which is why they are reluctant to try it, that is also the challenge that Chef Paik must overcome and it made the show interesting. It’s exciting seeing the locals gradually opening up to korean cuisine and finding the unfamiliar taste delicious! And what’s a variety show without a little drama? It makes the show interesting.
About the halal food, I think they already did plenty of research. They also bought all of the ingredients in morocco. Bread is from a local seller, beef is from local halal butcher, onions, and sauce ingredients from the local market. The problem is that they didn’t trust that the food is halal because they are foreigners and thinks they didn’t do their research.
