Neo is not the only one who are victims of shading technique. Some actors may not need shading at all.

Lushi had improved a lot after oh my emperor. I like her acting. the successful of TROTAR may be not solely her factor tho. it is well written drama and best executed drama. I suspect she is not the one who decide the offering and roles she is taking, but her company. she stated rarely appear on variety shows, interview, etc because she was busy constantly working on filming set. she took variety roles, from light to intense drama. she's lucky to land many main roles within good to high budget drama.

It used to air in my country countless time. Strange enough I (we) never get bored watching this series. They make my day. Kwong Wa, or rather Tan San Zang is one of my childhood crush LOL. Dicky Cheung's acting is superb! Without him this drama would be cringey.

possible indeed. I think it's depend on the popularity of the actor and the drama/movie itself. I have seen c drama s with 'problematic actor' in Chinese web streamer for international market. They simply didn't put his name on the credit/cast list as if he never exists. but we already know him tho.
