Because c-drama popularity still lower compare kdrama, and translating chinese languange is harder than korean…
if you happen to see chinese caption/subtitle on drama (TV or webstreamer), be it hardsub/softsub. that's probably 'simplified chinese', a written standard language by China government to make the language easier to understand. Probably easy to translate too. Simplified chinese also used in several countries. But still people with chinese mother tongue could write and spoke using extensive chinese characters. That's why wuxia/xinxia/xuanhuan novel or many chinese novels hard to translate without knowing the context. Because the writer have such liberty to write anything. Meanwhile, if they air the drama, they should provide subtitle or dub the language. So people people all over China can understand the show (in one standard).
I think we should thank the editor translator in every C-Drama channel. hehe. After they added the google translated Chinese->English. They will need sometime to edit the translation until it fit the context.
So there is a possibility this will end sadly and tragically??? omg....😭😭😭😭😭
so far in Novoland series,, none get happiness in term of romance. They either goes single or end up with other stranger or die in vain. I don't know the ending of Novoland sky castle 2 though...(bcause I don't watch this drama)
btw MTL novel from google translation is helpful but sometimes misleading. I don't understand mandarin too. I prefer to ask someone to explain the whole story lol.
VETO to fake kisses !🛑🙈 I really liked it at the beginning, FAir Xing was amazing in it, but fake kisses…
I think fake kiss is acceptable in romance drama. It doesn't necessarily affect the plot. Many romance dramas and movies out there didn't even involved with kissing or intimate scenes. What to cry about? I'd rather get irritated when hearing producer/director ask the actors to do kiss or intimate scenes off the script.
Nice info...maybe I'll start to watch it again. I dropped this on ep 2 because I can't stand the stupidity of…
agree...it's a bit confusing, her character. Zhu Zhan and Lu Yun Qi recall her as being intelligent and carefree princess. After she changed to Jun Zhen Zhen, she became a noble lady like. Very composed like a real princess. Meanwhile, in the 1st episode she was like a cannon fodder.
The main leads are very cute together and imo Jin Han did great job here. I enjoyed the drama very much. Highly…
Nice info...maybe I'll start to watch it again. I dropped this on ep 2 because I can't stand the stupidity of FL. She is supposed to be an intelligent girl, wise one, but why act recklessly trying to stab the current villain king in the public? The king then has a legit reason to jail her or even give her death penalty. She seems forget that she has sibling to protect. If she wanna takes revenge on him, shouldn't she seek an ally first?
Suspect that Huanyu might have done 3 (or more) dramas with the same set and costume designers. The quality and…
Perhaps the property, wardrobe crews and setting/art director (if any.. I forgot the title jobs in filming production) did a lot. How to maximize limited recourses without losing the quality (as example, aesthetic side). hehe. TBH, various companies often using (renting) the same filming studio, The crews just make and adjustment to the setting so it won't look similar with other drama setting. The companies also often reuse their wardrobe properties. I've seen some clips or pictures of filming/drama companies, they own an enormous warehouse that store thousands of costumes. They shelved the clothes based on era/year. Meanwhile in my country, many companies that make soap opera n movies didn't really like to store wardrobe much. Because it's a bit costly to take care of them from time to time. If they need vintage stuffs they either made it or go hunting to flea market. They still also have sponsors lined up. I know I shouldn't compare wuxia/xinxia/costume drama to modern soap opera haha. One thing for sure, ancient costumes are hard to make and it cost a lot. so they better take care them very carefully so it can be used again.
Also just another topic of discussion when the FL form the beginning chase after the ML why is that viewed as…
if it in IRL, the ML seems justified himself that he still a chance to get the girl as long as she is not someone's wife. He keep chasing the girl despite she is still having relationship with another man. We can view him in negative or positive ways. The rest is on the FL's side. whether she will start anew with a new fling or back to her old flame. I think it's not really hurt and meddlesome to see love triangle like them. They are not in marital relationship, at least not like Love Affair in The Afternoon / Hirugao.
