Had Potential but just a standar nonsensical korean thriller
The year 2024 hasn’t been particularly stellar for thriller dramas, and unfortunately, Connection doesn’t break that trend. While the show starts with an intriguing premise—Detective Jeong Gyeong waking up drugged and disoriented in a subway station—it quickly loses its way. The writing feels overly eager to keep things happening, but this comes at the cost of coherence, resulting in a narrative riddled with plotholes—a common pitfall for many K-dramas.Loose ends abound, and storylines fail to tie together in a convincing manner. While the direction meets the usual high standards of Korean dramas, the acting leaves much to be desired. Performances are inconsistent, marked by excessive screaming and overacting that cheapen what could have been impactful moments. Instead of delivering a taut thriller, Connection leans too heavily into makjang melodrama, undermining its potential.
In contrast, Doubt stands out as the only truly exceptional thriller this year. Compared to that, Connection feels like a missed opportunity in what could have been a far more compelling drama landscape for 2024.

In agreement with expert reviewers its utter garbage
The show begins beautifully, boasting stunning cinematography and outstanding performances from the main cast. However, even in the early episodes, cracks start to show. The plot quickly introduces events that seem to lack proper context, leaving viewers puzzled. As the story progresses, it spirals into a high-stakes, chaotic mess. The poorly executed timelines make it difficult to follow the narrative, and "The Frog" suffers from the same issues as many other Korean dramas—plotholes that disrupt the pacing and confuse the audience.
The show’s slow pace feels unnecessary and frustrating, with character actions that often defy logic. For example, a car crashing into another vehicle at full speed in the middle of town would undoubtedly raise questions, but such moments are either completely ignored or met with nonsensical reactions.
Overall, the lack of cohesion and frustrating storytelling choices made this series a regretful watch for me.

Pretty good movie but it's not for childish people
The movie starts out as a cute romcom about a slightly overweight man who falls deeply in love with his nurse during his hospital stay. The acting was pretty good, and the pacing was impressive, as they did not spend time on unnecessary fluff. The movie goes from the expected cuteness to sourness, which will leave you feeling frustrated and uncomfortable, then to an unimaginable twist that really surprised me and made me like it even more. It made you think back and remember all of those weird moments that you did not get then but made sense later. It is a very good depiction of modern relationships and morality. The fast pace of life and lack of communication can lead to a breakdown in a relationship.
This movie is not for childish viewers at all who are too immature to explore human behavior and the complexity of relationships. That is something I definitely disliked with many comments in the reviews. It is just judgment and morality policing, not an actual review.
