Why are you comparing it to another drama? Chemistry doesn’t come from actors alone. It’s the script, character writing, directing, and editing. If those are weak, anyone in that role would struggle.
Even if you put ten Byeon Woo-seoks in that role, it still wouldn’t save it.
Lomon is still young and has plenty of time to grow, and he’s still booking solid projects. Maybe spend that energy worrying about actors who are already over 30 and still getting dragged for their acting even before the drama airs, just from a teaser.
Also funny how many of the negative comments here come from shippers from her previous drama. Like I’d care.

If Lomon had no chemistry, why did people go crazy over Suhyeok and Namra in All of Us Are Dead? People shipped them so hard both on and off screen. Your comment makes no sense.
Chemistry isn’t just about having romantic scenes. It’s about emotional build-up, tension and moments that make the audience feel something between the characters. In All of Us Are Dead, even without tons of romance, the emotional connection was clearly written into the story.
But in No Tail To Tell, the leads spend most of the drama arguing and strongly disliking each other with barely any romance. The script doesn’t even build their relationship properly. There’s no emotional progression at all.
No matter who plays it, no one can magically create chemistry with that kind of writing.

It’s a rom-com fantasy but the romance develops quite late around the middle of the story.
The first half is mostly conflict so the chemistry doesn’t really have room to grow early on.
That’s simply how the story is written; thus, it may not appeal to viewers who prefer fast-paced romance.

I haven’t seen the FL previous works but Lomon’s past performances have left a positive impression on many viewers, so calling his acting so bad now raises questions about whether the issue lies elsewhere especially when the character itself is poorly written.
When performances don’t blend well, it’s usually due to tonal imbalance from the script and direction, not a single actor’s ability. Acting doesn’t exist in isolation.

Blaming Lomon as the co-star problem is absurd. He’s proven himself before and will do so again. Trying open your eyes and read more critiques, including Korean audience reactions. The problem is obvious.

Where did I ever say that Netflix cast him for No Tail to Tell? Of course I know Netflix partnered with SBS, which is why it streamed there. What I was referring to were the two projects after No Tail to Tell—those were the ones Netflix actually cast him in.
So maybe do your research first before accusing me of saying things I never said.

I think It’s way too early to say they have no chemistry. The first two eps are just setup—let the story and their relationship develop first then we can talk.
Before the drama even aired, their joint appearances already showed pretty good chemistry and both leads have proven in their past projects that they can have great chemistry with their co-stars.

I think the ML acting is solid and natural, but the character design is confusing. He’s supposed to be narcissistic and full of confidence, yet he comes off awkward and clueless. Where did that confident persona go?
Or maybe this is his high school phase, and after nine years he’s changed. Guess we’ll have to see how his character develops in later episodes.
