the acting has been insane, and the portrayal of PTSD feels really realistic to me. Nara-san as a character can be rather extreme, but she brings so much tension to the plot yet humour at the same time. the synopsis of the show seemed meek at first, but the directing of the whole show has had me on the edge of my seat throughout. side characters are also given ample screen time to flesh out the complex dynamics of their relationships. the show's not even done yet but its a masterpiece for me so far. can't wait for next week episode!
I liked that the drama focussed on the mission stories and not on the love story, while the love story was everpresent. The drama had a way of highlighting the missions while at the same time highlighting the home life. I liked that the enemies were smart and prepared and ruthless.
One thing I really enjoyed was the lack of explanations for every single little thing. I don't need the slightest plot point explained to me.
So nostalgic watching this. I love Rika and was absolutely frustrated with how the rest of the characters being all indecisive and messing things up. The story is a lot more realistic, if it were a manga, it would be classified as Josei instead of Shoujo haha. The ending isn't something I'm happy with but it's pretty much aligned with everyone's personality. I love 90s dramas, no excessive filters, no spotless makeups. Rika's outfits were so cute too.
Great actors, I am hooked... Matsu Takako always sells characters with trauma or a mental condition with such vulnerability and sincerity that you always end up emphatizing with the character. The wait for new episodes I know will be frustrating, because it looks really interesting.
wow great first episode, the female lead is exactly what I like: very layered and not a push over like they can write them in jdramas. she's pathetic, cute, annoying, principled and persistent. Very excited for the next episodes!!
