Just saw the whole MDL drama on Twt Now I understand why KP Stans are gone without trace 😭I was scared for…
I see people here talking about it, but I can't check it for myself as I don't have social media. Could you please tell us what this is all about? Thanks in advance.

When porche looks older than his mum
Yeah, I was also wondering the same thing. I mean she looks like their (Kinn and Porsche) sister. I think they should've atleast used a little bit of makeup or maybe prosthetics to make her look like an older version of the woman in the picture.

Hi, if you don't mind could you tell me what this is about. I have no idea as I don't use social media. So it would be great of you if you could share what this is all about since I really like how Bible has played the character, and would be a little bummed out if he were to be replaced. Thanks in advance.

Gonna share my theory for the series...What if what Gun was going to reveal was that Porsche's mom is the real…
Your comment reminded me of the thought I had when Gun was about to reveal something but was shot by Korn. Please don't hate me for it.....
πŸ™ŠπŸ™
So here it is. I think Gun was about to reveal that Korn killed Porsche's father because Nmapheung was having an affair with him, and that they plotted together so that they could kill Porsche's father, and get him out of the picture........
I know..... I'm sorry. It's just that my mind went straight up there 😡🀒
I'm sorry for traumatising some of you.
But, Nampheung's reaction when Porche brought Porchay over also solidified this theory of mine a bit. It's just that Nampheung's reactions here, and when Gun was about to reveal something, were a little off, as if she was guilty of something. If you happen to watch the last episode again then try looking at what I said more closely, and please let me know what you think.

Hey thanks for sharing your thoughts. I really like the fact that we as audience are able to have these discussions after the show has ended. Feels nice to know that somebody else is also suffering, and is just as confused as me πŸ€£πŸ˜…
What you said about Porsche accepting the role just to honour his comittments sounds exactly like something he would do. It's just that I know his brother is his priority number one (or was until Kinn came along), so taking such a huge step without much of a discussion seems out of character for him. I just wish they had shown him talking to Kinn and Porchay about it. That would've made it look like he was struggling a little bit. On the contrary, they showed it as if Porsche was enjoying his life as the new head or something. I hope we get a little more insight into his decision in the next season.

I 100% agree with you. It was so confusing seeing such heartfelt scene in ep 7 where kinn let's Porsche go and…
I am really glad I posted this thought of mine, because now I'm getting to read so many povs that I had not even thought of earlier. I really like your take on Porsche wanting to stay by his mother's side to protect her because it makes so much sense.
Also, about your 2nd point. I'd like to add that what I meant was that Porsche could've sent him somewhere 'faaaar' away, like some other country. I know it could've been possible with Kinn's help, and that he would've obliged if Porsche had asked. Just saying that I wouldn't do something like that, head of the Minor family or not. If I had been in Porsche's place, I would've sent Porchay far away for further studies, or something like that to keep him out of this mess, after everything got over, because I would've witnessed first hand how messy and dangerous it can get. But, I guess that's just me. Everybody acts differently. At least now I know some things to help me understand Porsche accepting the role, no matter how much I still don't want him to 😬🀭

Hmmmmmm... I guess you could feel like that too. I, for one, want to know if it was a conscious choice by his friends, like you imply, or was it just because the creators didn't think these characters important enough to be featured in the last episode. I'm not trying to bash anybody or start any trouble I just want to know that if the whole cast was promoting the show together ( along with the side characters), then I feel like they all should have had atleast one meaningful scene in the last episode, or maybe in the penultimate one. I also feel like so much was not shown that we have to rely on our own interpretations and imaginations to make sense of some of these things. A few open ends can give the audience a chance to interpret an ending their way. But, having so many unanswered questions makes you wonder if the writing in the last episode was a hasty and choppy job, or was it a conscious effort by the creators to keep the audience hooked for the next season. At least there's one good thing that's come out of it. The viewers are discussing these things among themselves, and are coming up with their own reasons. It helps in sharing of ideas too, like we have. It makes watching a show that more fun. And, I'm really glad that we are able to do that.

Nobody likes it dear. But it's logical for now. We're gonna have to wait and see more in ss2.
I didn't like it either. I also think it shows how conniving Korn really is. Under the pretense of giving, now orphans, Vegas and Macau, a place to stay and a family to rely on, he took everything away from them, and also eliminated any possible future threats from Minor family by making Porsche its head. It was a genius move by him, and I've gotten even more convinced now that he's at the centre of whatever f**kery is going on. I hope they show more of his, Gun's and Nampheung's back story in the next season, and on a more sinister note.......................
.............
I hope he burns in hell for taking Vegas's title from him πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

P.S. I think you should edit your comment, and mark it as spoiler so that others who haven't caught up with the last episode yet don't get spoiled.

Wow, didn't think from that angle. But, it makes much more sense to me now than it did before, because we also heard Korn say something along the lines that the one who wins writes the history. Also, Gun was about to reveal something about Korn and Nampheung's relationship before Korn shot him. And that irritated sigh (to me atleast it was an irritated one) of Nampheung's when Porche brings Porchay over was just a tad suspicious. So, Korn for me is a bit suspicious, and I know for a fact that he's going to cause more trouble in the next season. I really hope that taking Korn down and finally finding the whole truth are his reasons. Because right now, it doesn't make sense any other way.
Also, what do you think about Porsche's friends not being there at the party? I was kind of wishing to see them again atleast once before the show ended. I didn't expect to miss the side characters this much but maybe because they were written and executed so well that it made me feel their absence. Also, they represent a part of Porsche that (as I said above) I wish Porsche still had. Was bummed out to see that they showed Porsche celebrating but only with Kinn's friends. I feel like there's been a gradual shift that way that we have seen Porsche drift away from his friends. But that could also be attributed to the fact that Porsche now runs in a different type of circle. But still I was hoping to see his friends and maybe Yok once again.

Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD********

I guess I also didn't like this development because I wanted Porsche to preserve that innocent part of him that he had where his only job in the mafia was to defend his boss. He didn't want anything else to do with mafia business. I understand Kinn is mafia as well and I didn't have any issue with him doing all the bad mafia thinga because that's who he was and that's how he was raised. But Porsche is different. He made it pretty clear what he thought of the mafia (ep 1). So, I wanted till the end for Porche to keep a little part of his past self with him and to not get fully involved in this business. I was kind of rooting for it. But alas, that did not happen. And, now I'm a little disappointed I guess.

SPOILERS ENDED******

I realise that the disappointment I'm feeling is my problem as the show couldn't have satisfied everybody no matter how hard the creators tried. But I still don't understand the thing I mentioned above. So, if anyone's interested in sharing their thoughts then be my guest.

I have a question that I kind of need to be answered. So, if you are someone who has read the novel, or somehow, has more in-depth knowledge of the characters, please help me out.

Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD*******

In the final ep, head of the Major family (Kinn's father, sorry forgot his name🀭), makes Porsche the head of the Minor family saying he, as the head, has the right to do so. And, I understand his motivation behind doing so, as he wants his sister's kids close by, and in the family business or whatever. And, he's also kind of eliminating future threats by getting Veags out of the picture, who if made the head, would've surely tried to ruin the Major family again in the nearest future possible. But, I don't understand why Porsche would accept it. Even if it's to lessen Kinn's problems, I don't think he would put Porchay in a huge risk like that by becoming the head of a mafia family. Because that title increase his enemies as well as his brother's. Also, when he first joined he didn't want anything to do with the mafia business, but got sucked into it because of money problems. So, it made sense for him to be the bodyguard to a mafia boss despite hating what the mafia stands for (as indicated in the first ep, yacht scene). But, for him to go ahead and accept the title of the head of a prominent mafia group without any hesitation (don't know if there was any because we weren't given any hints about it whatsoever) is very out of character. Now, some people might argue that he has already killed people for the Mafia, and that he's already in too deep to do anything about it now, and that's why he might as well get to the top. And that's where I think is the problem in keeping consistency with his character arises. Because being a bodyguard to a mafia, and being head of a mafia group are two different things. As a bodyguard, his only objective was to defend his boss. But now, as a head of the Minor family he'll be committing real crimes like murder, torture, extortion etc. I don't think Porsche as a character would ever want to do that, especially when he knows that his mother tried to raise him, and his brother away from all of this. It didn't make sense for him to accept this offer so easily and readily. They could've shown him still contemplating the offer by the end of the episode and that would've made much more sense. Or they could've simply left the mafia business at that, and instead cover the rest of episode with Kinn and Porsche's relationship instead of just giving is a montage of Porsche getting ready for his first day as the head. That scene didn't sit right with me because it painted Porsche as someone who's happy and proud of where he's today i.e. as the head of the Minor family. This was never his dream or aspiration as he just wanted a simple life by opening a bar by the beach, and other simple and regular people stuff like that. Even if he wanted to stay by Kinn's side, he could've done that by either being his bodyguard or the way the rest of the world does it, i.e., meeting up whenever free and having a relationship after getting off work. I understand other characters' reasoning behind accepting this new development. For example, Kinn's father made him an heir because he accomplished so many things through this masterstroke. Kinn could also like this new arrangement because it means that Porsche would always be by his side. Also, minor family won't bother him anymore. But, I don't understand why Porche would do it. He wanted to leave but stayed after Kinn got hurt. He again wanted to leave when Porchay found ou, but then stayed when Kinn's father told him to bring his brother in as well, which I also found odd by the way. Because why would Porsche want to bring his brother in to live with the mafia. He could've instead sent him away somewhere else with Kinn's help. After that, he left again when he started suspecting Major family of hiding secrets. So, he tried leaving several times in fact. And ,that's why it doesn't make sense for him to become a part of the mafia, and that too so willingly. I feel like there should have been some scenes where he could've been shown to at least be thinking about it, and discussing it with Porchay and Kinn as well. Because the way they ended the show didn't explain Porsche's motivation behind accepting this role.

SPOILERS ENDED*****************

Please, if somebody can make a little sense out of this situation, then let me know as well. Or if you have something to rant about as well, then I'm all ears. Since I also need to get another thing or two off my chest.

I think Pure right now sees Folk as both a conundrum and a challenge, which I would imagine would be irresistible…
Yeah, your explanation does make sense. Though, I do feel that the writers intentionally want the audience to resent Pure a little bit for the sake of "drama". To be honest, I have put it on hold rn. I have found other shows that are far more gripping and exciting. Try 'Like in the movies' if you haven't. It's Filipino/Pinoy Bl.

Ep. 9 @backyardforest I get what you're saying but I don't see anything wrong with Pure cock blocking Folk with…
Yeah, like I said I
can try and be understanding of him trying to be a good "wingman", but then also taking that situation and creating an opportunity for yourself like that is a bit distasteful for me. That's just how I feel about the way his character dealt with the situation. Now, coming to Waan's issue. Again, like I said earlier too, Pure didn't know about that one so I don't blame him for that. Instead as I am writing this right now, I have come to the realisation that the writers want us to "resent" Pure for the sake of drama. Because why would Pure want to pursue 2 people at the same time. I mean I get that a person can like or have crushes on multiple people at the same time but to go after multiple people in the same evening or just after a couple of hours seems a bit unrealistic even for a playboy like Pure. I think the writers kind of want us to resent or maybe even hate him a little bit?? I don't know maybe I'm wrong. How the writers decide his character's arc in the next few episodes can maybe answer my question. As for the Folk x Pure couple, I am interested in seeing how it's going to turn out. Though the beginning got me a little, I am hoping for a sweet syrupy ending for them ?? lol

Disclaimer: It's just my thoughts about the show and its characters. I am not aiming to bring down or shade the actors who play these characters. All the power to them.

I made an account just so that I could put it out there that the things Pure did in the last episode didn't sit well with me. Things, even if not perfect, were still looking positive for Folk when he asked Pai to keep his heart open for him ( I want Pai to have options). Pure ruined it for him though. He first didn't let Folk hold Pai's hand or walk with him, kept getting between them, because ofcourse, "wingman duties" which is understandable even if a tad bit annoying. Then, he kind of instigated him into confessing to Pai (again, though in a more direct and assertive way). And, then he took advantage of his heartbroken, vulnerable situation. That was a bit off-putting to be honest. I don't understand what the writers want us to feel about him, but sympathy is definitely not something I am feeling for him right now. He also kind of came between Waan and his love interest (forgot her name), though that was unintentional, so you gotta spare him one there. But, that whole hitting on Folk when he's heartbroken like that was a little sad, and maybe, ........maybe a little desperate.
