Charming

There was just something about the guy who played the deaf kid that was so incredibly endearing that it was hard not to love him. He never came off as a victim, and until I watched behind the scene stuff, I had no idea that he could speak or hear. If you just watch the show, you will be convinced that this kid is deaf. Originally, I thought it was weak on story, but then I realized that it wasn’t weak, it was just completely genuine. This is a really good show.

Skip the last episode

I was basically a little angry at myself because I’m making an effort not to watch shows that are currently airing, because they tend to be short, and I sort of lose track of the story when I’m not binging it. That all being said I was drawn into this show early. These two guys are ridiculously beautiful and they really do have a ton of chemistry together. There’s a lot of things to love about this show. The ending is not one of them. Watch the show up to episode eight, get a very warm feeling inside for these two characters, and only watch the last episode if there’s a season two. This might’ve been the worst ending of any show that I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I had no idea what was going on with the cop and the other guy. I had no idea what would happen between the two main characters. I’m not even sure if these guys become a couple at the end. Like I said, this was one of my favorite shows which made the ending, probably the biggest letdown ever. I want to say rise of Skywalker had a worst ending, but I would’ve even taking that ending as opposed to the ending that this show got. Hopefully my stars on this review give it a pretty good rating, because there were a ton of those that I intended to be 10 stars, but my finger just wouldn’t make that happen for some reason.

It’s watchable.

I really did enjoy this because I dug leads. they’re both extremely likable actors, even though they have the zero range. I’d imagine if they keep it up they’ll get better. Po is literally the most one dimensional character in history of the world. The guy literally had two facial expressions the entire show. There was one scene, which is not a spoiler don’t worry, where they go to his apartment and he has clothes everywhere that he has to put away. Typical thing for me, but for him, it was a little strange since he wore the same two things the entire show. I’m not 100% sure when he wore any of the other clothes. These guys had incredible chemistry together, but I did find myself rooting for the other guy for the first half of the show, because believe it or not, all three people had similar chemistry. It would be really hard to choose if I was that guy. You know years ago a bunch of friends and I went to see this movie that was called This is my life. It was written by North Ephraim and it was a movie about a comedian. We both walked out of there, thinking this might’ve been a good movie if they would’ve actually had a comedian play the role of a comedian. There were plenty of people out there at the time, of that age, that were hilarious, but they chose to cast a woman who was basically an Actress and was not funny at all. This was kind of the problem I had with this show. There were plenty of established groups that they could’ve inserted this character into, but they ended up putting together a bunch of guys that seemed to have zero musical talent at all. Their voices were horrible, their songs were bad, and none of it made any sense at all. There’s no way that the song that they sung would’ve gone to number one. The production company could’ve very easily cast and existing tpop group, and then just inserted William into it. All in all this was a pretty cool show. I didn’t binge it or anything, I 100% kept coming back to it, I guess that would be my review. It’s 100% worth going back to 0% worth binging.

Casting could have been better

Honestly I'm a pretty easy sell on most of these shows, but the kid who played Amagi was too young, and it seemed super creepy to me that they were talking about being physical with each other. Maybe things are different in Japan, and maybe the age difference wasn''t too much in reality, but the guy who played Takara seemed significantly older than the actor who played Amagi, and the whole thing just made me feel dirty and weird watching it. Amagi was literally skipping through some scenes while Takara never changed his facial expressions. I know that this kind of dynamic is common for Japanese BL shows, but I think the concept was taken too far, and perhaps they should have casted an actor who could have aged a bit during the show and made it feel less creepy in the end. I was hoping they would do a time jump into the future where the relationship seemed less pedo using older actors so I could wash the entire thing out of my mind. The two leads had zero chemistry, for these reason. I thought both of them were charming and I would have loved seeing both of them in other things with other actors. I have read most of the reviews and mine is a lot different for some reason, but I figured I'd put mine out there. No hate, honestly I watched the whole thing but you should be warned it seemed like a 17 year old dating a 12 year old the entire time.

I had to write this

I generally don’t review, I only comment on this site. I saw what the reviews were trending and I had to even out its score. I don’t know where they found these two guys, but I was so completely wrapped up in the believability and the chemistry between these two guys, that I have it in my minds schedule to watch it again. I gotta tell you that I was a little confused by the storytelling, and that it was a little bit convoluted, broken, and hard to follow. If however, you make a little effort and backtrack a little from time to time, you’ll be glad that you did. One of the leads had sort of a consistent facial expression, but when you look like him, I think you can get away with it. I mean, he got away with it! I would love to see these guys in another show. Hey, don’t get me wrong. I think this kind of plot device is a little played out. I think the whole forgetting 10 years of your life is a little unbelievable, maybe it happens but I think it mostly happens to 90-year-old people after a stroke and not hot 28-year-old Korean guys. People can beat me up over this all they want, but one of the things that I did like about this was the minimal use of makeup. I understand why K-pop bands wear makeup, but I don’t understand why they put these guys in make up when they’re supposed to be depleting real people, so hate on that all you want. These two guys were beautiful and I’m sure they were wearing stage makeup, but they weren’t overly done and I felt that it made the show a lot more comfortable to watch.

Very cool.

I watch this not knowing anything about the source material or anything. I of course, now know that there’s some controversy about this show in China, but I’ve gotta tell the people in charge in China, never once did either of these characters come off as anything but straight teenagers. They literally just look like really good friends. That was enough to drive this story for this season and another one! The chemistry between these two guys was over the top amazing. There’s literally nothing not to like, except for the annoying acting of the little girl, and The fact that one of the actors seem to be voice dubbed. Being that I was watching it with subtitles it wasn’t that big of a deal, but when I watched interviews later, it was very obvious that WuBi doesn’t have the same voice in real life that he does in the show.
