Yes, episode 1 is impressive enough to keep you watching, story is quite fast-paced like they don't drag atleast for now. Chemistry between Bai Lu & Ao Rui Peng is great and the effects, osts & just general visual of each scene down to costume is stunning.

I think it comes down to personal taste, the bgms and osts didn't seem out of place for me and I thought Fan Yue's entrance in episode one was rather cool.

The introduction of characters in episode 1 is very impressively done. I love it so much!

Done watching all 5 episodes, time went by so quickly. I want more. This drama is really good, cinematography, editing, osts, and costumes are all stunning. I am deeply hooked. I am loving Bai Shou already but am loving her sister too and Fan Yue ofc! Can't wait to watch more.

I watched ALP but it doesn't make much of a big difference if you didn't watch it. This drama follows a different story completely different from that of ALP but what we do know is that they are just the same characters from ALP given their own story this time. In here, Goddess Yue Mi (ALP) name is changed to Goddess Xing Yue. This is just the minor difference, so it's alright even if you didn't watch it and proceeded to watch this.

I think it will be helpful to add this info in the discussion topic above about ALS and MM connection. Since, majority didn't watch ALS.
