The point of making survival shows are to debut the most popular contestants and fan favs so the final group can gain more fans, popularity and exposure to the group even prior debut. The rankings being mostly decided by fan votes instead of producer judgement is exactly what the shows are about, to debut the most popular contestants. So the rankings and eliminations being rigged is a side effect of these shows because talent doesn’t necessarily mean popularity. Just being talented isn’t enough to debut here. It’s very normal for rigged rankings to happen in survival shows in general. Plus, we never know how honest these survival shows are, just gotta trust them somehow.

There’s some from TBOY too, but yes, A LOT of the Dashing Youth characters came back with mostly, if not, all the same cast. And that’s one thing I love about this trilogy, they’re all deeply connected but can also be stand alone dramas by themselves

I love Qianluo. She’s such a fun character. Her lore is also pretty cool (how she’s one of the four guardians and most likely the next ONLY female spear deity). But I just don’t like her with Xiao Se 😭I see no chemistry, nor a reason they should be together. Her character felt flat, as if she was there for the sake of being there. I hope we get to explore her character more next season. But anyways, you’re right. Some of these people are taking it too far. Like attacking the actress is WAYYYY TOOO FAR. Blame the writers (or whoever did her character wrong) if anything. The actress is just doing her job, and doing it amazingly.
