I feel like the stories should have been incorporated instead of being separated out. It feels like a BL cut where some of the back story gets lost when only the couple interaction is focused on. Also, if the stories are incorporated, it better shows the passage of time because their interactions imply that time has gone by but it also feels like 2 days?
I find the whole series goofy and entertaining. I've pretty much watched the entire thing in the space of 3 days, now I'm just waiting on the last few episodes.
Of all of the HIStory stories, I like this one the best - specifically because it isn't a school romance. The leads have good chemistry together, and there's no angst about being attracted to the same sex. I saw some comments about the believability of the Shao Fei as a police officer, but he didn't really stand out to me as unusual because I am used to American cop movies, where practically all of the cops are some sort of impulsive rebels who would totally be fired in the real world. The only thing I wondered about was Jack - he was working for Interpol, but that kind of got shrugged off.
Other than that, this has by far been my favorite BL.
