I binged almost every season on Netflix and man, it's such a vibe. Calm, comforting and intimate. The characters are flawed but so damn likable at the same time and I love how it focuses on the "underdogs" of Japanese society: Gangsters, adult movie actors and old gamblers, hostesses and salarymen. Under the Midnight Diner's roof, they're all just people looking for good food and rest.

I kinda dig it TBH? Ayase-san always plays the sweet, innocent characters and this time she has a chance to shine with a different role. It's cool seeing her breaking type-casting.
