Does anyone know the title of the song they used at the very beginning of episode 7? Where Akin was crying alone in the parking lot and they played some flashback scenes from the past episodes as well. I badly wanna know!
Yes but the original work is BL. Even though the live adaptation is tagged as bromance, the tension and chemistry between the main leads are still very strong!
Welcome! It's adapted from the novel Faraway Wanderers/ Tian Ya Ke by Priest. WOH has 36 episodes in total, very a must watch! tho the relationship between the main leads are censored.
To anyone who's confused by the plot, i saw someone from reddit who roughly explained about the overall situation…
If I remember correctly, its because of the account book that the Jin family is trying to protect. The xue family is very loyal the emperor, while the Jin family is rebelling against the royal family through the entire account book ordeal. How the Jin family become so rich is because they are doing some dirty work behind the scenes. The account book is the only evidence. So yeah, xiaobao's family aren't as good as they were shown to be. This is not only limited to the Jin family, some noble families are also involved. The xue family knew about the account book thing. If the issue about the account book goes into light, it will implicate the entire Jin family so I guess they needed to get rid of the Xue family first so it will not reach the emperor's ears.
am I the only one not getting the plot about the xue family , jin family and ML family?
To anyone who's confused by the plot, i saw someone from reddit who roughly explained about the overall situation based on the episodes we got so far (this is from the user @/SomewhereJust5265, this is only from ep 1&2)
Huaien is from the royal family. He and his father were exiled to be commoners by the royals (because his father was ambitious and tried to covet the throne.) The white jade was thrown off the cliff (the clinging child was huaien. Maybe it was his cruel father's training to make him stronger š) He was pushed off the cliff twice/once for the white jade and second time for the flying kite thing. His father loved his mother (but i guess his mother did not because she became someone else's wife? ) so Huaien has mommy issues/trust issues/love issues. His father is portrayed as selfish/ambitious and little crazy in the series.
Prince Shen that tried to kill him must be one of his father's brothers (his uncle, basically.)
Huaien is also after the accounts book in Jin's family (noble family with connections to the royal family.) Xiaobao's childhood friend, Su Yin, is also a prince (however Su Yin is not a direct descendant but only given the title) from what Huaien was saying.
Xiaobao is kind hearted and now is in love with Huaien after doing the deed. š¤š
Royal family now see the exiled family (Huaien and his father) as a threat.
Huaien also stole something from the palace (the reason for the attacks from the assassins.)
Huaien and his father are trying to re-enter the royal family and plotting to get the throne by revolting.
As someone who already read the novel, this user's explanation is by far the closest as to what really happened in the book! the series is also following the original work closely so that's a bonus.
As for what happened to the xue family in episode 3, the Jin family is somewhat an accomplice to the whole massacre (but! xiaobao did not know a single thing about it so he is somewhat innocent about the entire murder thing.) the young girl is the only survivor from the xue family.
