My god Dingding is the worst girlfriend ever, I think I hated her in the end. She constantly never put Weijin as #1 in her life despite him always putting her first even though he's busy as a doctor. Like in the end, she blames him for their misunderstanding that lead them to be separated for a year but she was the one looking after her ex all the time instead of being with Weijin. And she totally could've gone to the states to find him? Or even contacted him first. GAH, apart from this, there were a lot of sweet moments too. Weijin was already being sooo considerate to her because he understood as a doctor, but she totally ignored his feelings as her boyfriend.
I think they needed to make DD a stronger character because she was still being used by her ex and her ex's friends in the end when she could've said no - which lead to the demise of her relationship. Her kindness/soft heartedness was such a flaw to the relationship.
I guess love is deep after all.

Oh my god this drama is now one of my favourites. It's so down-to-earth and is just so lovely to watch. It honestly matches up with the novel so well and the actors really do bring Joey and Mr F to life.
It's on netflix btw! I loved the character growth of the leads and how it kinda went full cycle. Riley Wang and his dimple are the best. I wish there was an actual epilogue episode.
oh this drama is nice, it's so refreshing seeing an adult couple that has actual normal pacing in a relationship
i might write a full review down the track, but i loved the ending. The couples all together and I'm so glad Chu Yan found himself a girl - she's spunky like him! The leading couple gave me all the feels even though the whole pre-planned meeting was a bit creepy lol.

I mean the second scenario :) I get what you mean, but ignoring the gujian pretending to be xiaowu situation, I was more alluding to the fact that pei zhao knew everything but never said anything ever when he seemed like he had so many opportunities to do so. But tbh it’s in line with pei zhao’s character to not say anything unless commanded to do so.
Ok but pei zhao should've just told chengyin that he was xiaowu or xiaofeng could've prevented gujian's early death by telling chengyin that he was xiaowu????????????????
I legit thought he recalled his memories earlier throughout the series, because of the way he treated xiaofeng in comparison to sese as the story progressed!! but he just fell in love with her again T_T i wish he remembered his memories earlier.
I'M SAD THAT IT'S A SAD ENDING OMG but also I love the rare sad endings in cdrama land but stillllll
