another one of drake's side pieces is pregnant, golly gee. i kinda hope he is the father just so they have a reason to fall out again lol. i mean, they're cute together if you subtract all the toxicity, but i enjoy drama in romances more than the romances themselves.
i hate ambiguous endings with a passion. i bawled my eyes out when the credits rolled and all i could think was "why does it have to be like that?" like i was a feature on aqua's dr. jones. nothing beats old-school k-dramas i swear! the acting was phenomenal, i'd never heard of the ml's actor before but he was great! and park boyoung slays as always.
very cute! sora... i really can't tell what he's thinking not sure if that's intentional but i dig the rbf since i have one too lol. it's never a school-set jbl if they don't have some sort of prince, and he's almost always cold for some reason, but paired with a sunshine/just a regular guy. i dropped my summer of you on the first episode because i'm so sick of that trope, but here it's done in a more comedic way so i really don't mind it. the episodes are short as expected from a jbl, a lot of people complain about that when it comes to adaptations, but sometimes short and sweet isn't that bad (coming from someone who prefers longer episodes). overall, good first episode.
i usually only cry when it's the finale, i only watched episode one and i'm in shambles. just seeing that picture on dad's phone when he was on the bus was enough for me to burst into tears.
drake, drake, drake. seeing the preview for episode 8 gives me hope that maybe, just maybe this story will have a happy ending and the three of them will part ways for good. tripp and alys are not meant to be together in my opinion, their chemistry has been way off (maybe it's cause of the new actor? i'm still grieving over them replacing dylan) alys and drake aren't meant for each other either. and i really don't have much reason to like alys as a character. overall, this is some high-school esque drama. they're like what? 22 now? yeah no. alys is not worth all the fuss. why the hell would she slap tripp? girl you had the chance to choose him and you still didn't, why are you upset he's choosing peace? she had multiple chances actually. also, dane just let them in?? after witnessing that?? π boy are you crazy?
that ending was more lackluster than kim k's music career, but at least it was cute. i will say i hate it when dramas have this type of beach scene though. haneul's character really reminds me of seong hyun from secret relationships so i was really routing for him, but he has fatal dumbass and pussyboy syndrome... i get he didn't want this at all, but if he wanted to save his ass for real, he would've pushed chaeha himself. just saying. overall, really enjoyed this one.
omggg... (on episode 2 rn) really i don't feel like tripp should be blaming drake for alys' behaviour, although he is technically the direct cause, she should know better! maybe her mom did pay off the proctors because there was barely any change in her character and mindset, if there was any change at all, that is (as of then when she's in nyc at least, because she seems pretty well-off in the present day). and you can tell drake believes in her, he clearly doesn't support her neglecting her studies. on to their relationship, i'm really curious what he did now! like they've broken up teen-six times by now, that's how bad their relationship's structure is. and he went and fucked up yet again... and met another girl, who he's getting married to? like wtf. i'm really curious as to what went down between them. drake is definitely still into her though.
edit: okay, i just watched episode three... and honestly it's so dumb, why they broke up that is... they've played these games before! alys really overreacted imo.

i wasn't saying you were arguing with me or anybody was arguing with me, just to be clear π₯² i was talking about the previous replies before i jumped in.
i wasn't originally planning on watching this, i was a bit disinterested after reading the synopsis a while ago, but i'm at that stage where the picky side of me is slowly starting to dissolve (hopefully)... only on episode two but it's really interesting, i must say, i regret how short the episodes are though... ju taeseon is SICK! i genuinely never feel so... uncomfortable (?) when listening to a male lead talk...

i wasn't expecting this reply... oh my gosh you're something lol π i just thought there was no point in umm... 'arguing' cause if i see a comment i don't agree with i just leave it aloneπ€·ββοΈ
Episode 1:Zhen is scary skinny. He looks like he pulled himself out of a Manga. That long neck is amazing, but I…
what are we really doing here under this comment π but i honestly can't say i didn't notice how skinny the actors are, it was honestly kind of jarring at first, most of the times if one of them is skinny the other isn't so it kinda balances out... but it's not really a big deal to me.
this might just be me but i swear chinese bl just gets more and more whack as the episodes go on, the same thing with to my shore but that was at least more enjoyable. i just think it was way better in the beginning, it was pretty unwatchable for me at the point i dropped it.
i am foaming at the mouth waiting for episode six. i'm usually not like this... i'm re-watching it episode by episode because i'm so starved. the last time i was like this was when revenged love was airing. no other series i'm watching can satisfy me right now π
edit: okay, i just watched episode three... and honestly it's so dumb, why they broke up that is... they've played these games before! alys really overreacted imo.
