All the women are still there in his harem, they don’t really have much of a role besides marrying him and helping…
Thank you for sharing! I thought I was the only one that liked CX. I agree with your thoughts on their relationship, so many people are forgetting that marrying your cousin is normal in the old days. This whole drama IMO was really about the relationship between CX and XY. TJ was just a trigger (catalyst?) that took CX to the next level of this one sided love.
I didn't read the novel and I didn't watch season 1 until season 2 was half way done. I thought this was a great drama and didn't drag for me even at the end. The illusion didn't make it bad IMO as it gave him a chance to reflect upon his love and actions towards XY. CX was able to finally and calmly confess his love to XY after so many failed attempts.
9.5/10 . The ending reminds me of those Oscar winning movies where you may be initially upset at the ending for not going the way you want it but after a lot of thought you realize this is an appropriate ending. I was really happy for her to reunite with HRZ and that could've ended there but the story IMO is not really romance, it's about regret, mistakes, and changing your path. They could've extended the ending to give a more detailed view of why ZXW is so steadfast in his love for her but again, it's really about her story of mistakes and her wanting to change herself. I thought it was interesting that HRZ turned out to be herself and looking back at his progression in the drama from beggar to waiter to guard. To me this signifies her growths and how she viewed herself. I'd love to hear others that may have read and watched it (I didn't read the novel) their take on this.
Definitely, it's not a sad ending. If you watch the mother... The mother eats fried chicken and gets back with…
did you read the novel? is the original ending in the novel she died? I'm ok with her passing. I think the main take away is that they found their love of a lifetime, however short it was. I like your explanation of the ending in the drama :)
Is your mom wondering why nobody has commented that this drama has sexual assault, male privilege, no diversity…
lol I guess I'm the only real mom on this thread tbh it's so strange to me when I see comments from posters using those type of words. This is not a drama or platform that is trying to teach morals to its audience.
Is your mom wondering why nobody has commented that this drama has sexual assault, male privilege, no diversity…
I'm not a senior yet an I'm surprised that she would be concerned about some of these things. My generation is used to seeing male privilege sexual assault, non con (does she even know what that means). Only within the last couple decades are these things brought to the fore front in media. For a lot of movies and dramas, there will be some of these items mentioned in your list. This production has a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode that says viewer discretion is advised and that characters, occupation, and events are fictional and for entertainment purposes. Most surprising is that you have diversity in casting listed. If this was a US production maybe I would question it, but not really. Most dramas and movies use mostly white people because most of the finance and backers are white people. This is a Thai production, I don't think their society or actor pool is diverse to begin with and I don't expect diversity when watching Asian produced film. Hope your mom is enjoying this drama as much as I am!
Any theories from the commentariat, now that I've eliminated 12 who were just here to fan-squeal, about why the…
Is your mom wondering why nobody has commented that this drama has sexual assault, male privilege, no diversity in casting etc? Would like to know how old your mom is, I'm also a mom.
