Ning Yuan Zhou who is strong, intelligent, capable and reserved was a perfect match for Ruyi that is equally intelligent, strong and independent.

NYZ can be at peace, rest and let his guard down when he was with her and Ruyi can trust and show her soft side with him. Such a perfect couple..

The first time that I cannot think of anyone that can handle their personality besides them.

Yep.i love that one also..this shows their loyalty also. Despite the closeness of shi san and ruyi, his loyalty is still in his state and brothers.

oh yeah.. Shi San heart beating was amazing too..
So true.. That scene in episode 1 really shows how NYZ was so fed up but still wanted to protect his love ones..

hahaha. yep!! It's a good pain.. I love all those scenes while crying of course.. :)

So true... This is the first time that I appreciated all the death scene. It's sad but you will just appreciate how great they portray it.

My top 10 scene:

1. NYZ and Ruyi intimate conversation(When NYZ was injured laying in the bed and when NYZ said this line "Because I fear loneliness, I fear even more that you would be lonely.")
2. Battle scene in the episode 8: One of the best fighting scene in drama land.
3. The gang bullied LTG.
4. Yang Ying stabbed her first love. That was satisfying.
5. The conversation between NYZ and Shi San while drinking and reminiscing their comrades.
6. The rescue mission with that assassin outfit.. Great scene..
7. NYZ and Ruyi date episode.
8. All the death scene.. What a wonderful acting from all the actors...
9. Yang Ying reveal her true gender.
10. That conversation between NYZ and PM Song in episode 3. That was intense..

Honorable mention:
1. NYZ in the battlefield episode 1.
2. NYZ killed Zhao Ji
3. NYZ tried to heal Ruyi
4. The gang tried to have a romantic atmosphere for NYZ and Ruyi.

This is so true. just a wonderful drama. This has all the elements that you need in a drama.. Even the death scene and angst was wonderful because of their amazing and moving acting... Maybe my second best drama since I cannot replace Nirvana in Fire... :)

You will love this!!!! I am rewatching this and still badass and awesome..

Republican era was a good choice!! I personally like if they were spy like The Disguiser.

Rewatching episode 2: still hilarious when Ruyi tried to seduce him. and yep!! She mark her territory with that bite😏😏

Too bad.coz he really nailed it for me..
