I’m rewatching the show at the same time to show it to my hubby and I would just like to say that yes LYX has been amazing so far, but BL that girl acted her ass off. SJ, innocent lovely girl, SJWitch, more mature and full of vengeance, then XW/SS on a mission. I could see the difference in all of them. Show was perfectly casted.

It does, since we are all watching the same drama and I was able to get that. They explained in the last two episodes that the heartless way is a shortcut to godhood, which is also what the Phoenix clan (Susu’s mom’s clan) practiced. Susu has the evil bone inside her and she constantly has to go to the cave to cultivate because the bone is acting up. So far only Gods have been able to defeat the devil god, so Susu has to become a god. Is that the only way? We don’t know and I’m sure she doesn’t know since there are no gods left to teach her. This is the only way now.
