Such a disappointing ending for the second couple. At some point I stopped watched the main couple and just FF to the second couple, but their ending was just butchered. Talk about missing a backbone.

I hope that after the success of this drama, scriptwriters will open their eyes and see how to write a FL. Not a mary-sue, not dependent on a man, real with flaws and human emotions. She’s not a perfect human being, but she is so real.

Good for Vietnam. I know it sucks for the viewers, but you really can’t let such things slide. This is basically what China did with the recent SK drama Tempest, so they should understand where VN is coming from

I think it’s ridiculous that your application expires exactly on the day. People have lives you know, sometimes you just can’t make it on the exact day. Can any local say if the cooling period is as shown in the show? And what if the other person refuses to come because they are abusive?

I’ve been wondering why she hasn’t been promoting this at all. Hopefully everything is good on her end. She is one of my favorite actresses to follow. Despite not being the main in her recent projects, I think her characters have been more mature than before and I’m happy for her that she is getting out of being typecasted

I have a feeling that Qiao Lin doesn’t even realize what her parents did wrong, they THEMSELVES refuse to admit it. We haven’t had a proper scene with the adult QL, XY and the parents yet so we don’t know the dynamics. It hasn’t been shown at all whether or not QL sees what is happening inside the family

I also remember that Lin Tao was supposed to be abusive. That would’ve made her character more interesting to follow if she had a trauma to deal with. I kind of feel bad for Wan Peng. The character she signed up for was not the result

I think the reason for this is that Qiao Lin was supposed to have a much more tragic character and since they didn’t go with that plot, she just has to exist for Xu Yan to have a tragic childhood.

The whole family story hasn’t been dealt with yet and I think it’s going to be the final arc of the show and we’ll hopefully see the sister have a more meaningful part.

And yes, I agree their relationship is very boring. YYM should’ve rejected her because she was too childish and that should’ve kickstarted her to mature and have him fall for her. If the ex would’ve been more threatening, YYM could’ve forcibly protected her and that could’ve caused tension and interesting to watch.

I noticed that despite Qiao Lin being the older sister, you never really get that vibe. She talks like a little sister and lives her life like it too. Just goes to show how spoiled she had been by her parents.

It has definitely made me side-eye every tax evasion scandal or forgotten favorites.

I’m watching this slowly and savoring it because it’s a treat to see Zhao Lusi AND Wan Peng. I’m at episode 4 and was completely heartbroken for the little Xu Yan. Lusi did a great job acting as a teenager

Really invested in Meng Tang and Qin Zhuo’s drama. I hope she makes him beg later

It’s a female centric story so it tends to go that way. We are supposed to empathize with the FL. If you watch xianxias, I feel like the FLs are usually ripped to shreds there

I read the manga now and this series is very faithful to it. Only 3 volumes and they managed to make a 12 episode series. Really impressed!

It was more impactful compared to the one Kurotaki gave 😆
