Some people find Haruka's acting annoying or fake because of her portrayal here. (hello to all the newcomers to…
She did an amazing job in this role. Those huge smiles and the innocent stuttering did not come across as acting or fake. I’ve seen very cringy acting for these kinds of roles and I have to tell you that this actress was not cringe
I have caught up and I just have to say it is one of the cutest and freshest dramas I have seen for a while. Their friendship is so beautiful because Haruka is so genuine and honestly, a really good friend. Hikaru is also a really good friend and I appreciate how he encourages her and doesn’t hold back on helping her despite his own feelings. I think they are perfect for each other.
Dropping a drama because of superficial appearances of how you perceive the clothing and looks of the actors seems…
Appreciate the very detailed response and your commitment to answer every point I made.
As a viewer, I have my own set of standards on what will pull me away from the story and in this case it was the costuming and makeup, but also the directing and the acting, which I found lacking in certain scenes. In some cases, I would overlook these things, but that would mean that there has to be some other reason for me to stay.
I have not yet dropped the show, but I am considering and following on the discussion to see if I should hang on. I brought out my views, because it is what I saw and wanted to have a discussion, not an argument. If my views change later on, it won’t be because of any arguing in the comments but because of the development of the drama and I would be here discussing it.
I understand your comment out of context, but I was talking about the set and costumes throughout the whole paragraph. Please understand that I am commenting as a viewer and not some hater of any actor/actress. If I had an issue with some person, I would just drop it and not come here to discuss.
I finished episode 5, but am considering dropping the drama because the set and costumes look really cheap. The colors are all over the place. Also a lot of the filming angles look like an amateur has been allowed to be directing. FL looks pretty alright (though I am bothered by her lips because it stands out so much from the other cast), but what the heck is that wig on Arthur Chen? The wig should have a tint of brown to look more natural on him and the long hair look does not look good with the red robe.
Tired of the use of the truth spell, if you have to use it constantly then why don’t you just keep it on forever? That could actually be funny too.
Clan leaders don’t look serious and menacing, they look like the cheapest cast you could find with the cheapest costumes.
Ooookkay things are starting to make sense. He Yan’s mother was forcefully married into the He mansion with her child, so no wonder dad or brother don’t have any emotional ties to her
What is Zhi Hi Hua’s age in the drama ? Isn’t he a phd student
I think in some episode, there was a character (probably one of the parents) calculating their age difference and it was 8 years. She just started college so he is probably 29
(1) Brother confesses BEFORE he finds out she’s an evil brat who has been bullying and scheming against his…
This is the way. I can’t believe how disgusting the brother is. If it had been mine, I’d have cut ties. What does he even like about her at this point? She is nothing like what she pretended to be in the past so WHAT ARE YOU LIKING EXACTLY, HMMM?!
And if they realized that Rufei isn’t dying young, then why didn’t they just switch them back? It’s not…
Why didn’t he too, walk around with a mask and call himself some random name, instead of being stuck in the temple? Lot of choices, but I guess we wouldn’t have this drama if they weren’t such imbeciles
I don’t understand why He Rufei hates He Yan so much and feels entitled to the merits He Yan has earned? Or…
And if they realized that Rufei isn’t dying young, then why didn’t they just switch them back? It’s not like he needed to be strong, he just needed to be alive
