In what universe would the original NH ever be the male lead? And specifically in a romance. Or maybe I have been happily just avoiding them, but where do you see a drama where the ML just kills, seduces 2 sisters, HITS the FL and impregnates the FL and the SFL?! I think the only one that could come close to is Goodbye my princess? But he loved her, didn’t he? This is the only thing that doesn’t make sense for me.
This is not a complaint really, but why would you wear the dresses and the shoes that the Bu Yan wears in the village that they are living in? It’s so impractical. Even the rich can wear some designer dungarees or tshirts and jeans.
What is the lore behind this couple? Obviously the chemistry is sizzling, but how do they end up doing so many hot dramas together? Are they in the same company or are they a couple? I will watch all the dramas they put out, that’s not the issue. I just want to know who and what I should thank for continuously putting them together.
Absolutely loved the drama with very strong supporting cast and the beautifully wrapped storyline. I think all the loss in the end had a meaning and I liked that.
What I did NOT like is the epilogue being a copy of the Kunning Palace. It was like an afterthought. I was of course happy for the characters, but I could see what it was production wise.

No, I think the wheelchair guy is the brother. In the cast list there is a child actor who has the name Chen Ye/ Qi Feng. I suspected this after the last episode and went to look for clues. Fan Yue said that his brother went missing 10 years ago, same as Bai Xi. And since we know who Bai Xi is and that Chen Ye came to CSP around the same time as her, it matches up.
Such a cheap ending to make FL forgive 3 years of abuse by injuring the ML. Let him work for it and let her be pampered and chased for a bit so she can rebuild her trust.
I don’t understand how they didn’t manage to talk for three years 🙄 Yeah she was mute but he could do sign language. And she didn’t have any pictures of memories to help him trigger his memory? It would almost make more sense if she had also lost her memory at the same time as him. He would think that her father was kidnapping the SFL and she would think that she has to take all the abuse because of her dad. The story wouldn’t even change much but it would make more sense.
Can someone explain to me why the FL had RW’s mom’s eyes? I was fast forwarding so much towards the ending that I didn’t catch that. Also at one point FL found a scroll with the painting of her parents and I wondered if it was supposed to tell us that they are half siblings with the same mother
I’m kind of enjoying the story. The ML is OTT jealous and abusive, but then nice(?), but then again that’s how all abusers are. If you get over the first 5ish episodes then the FL starts abusing him back and the relationship starts to be more cutesy. Just think of it as watching two trains colliding. We shouldn’t watch and we shouldn’t be entertained, but we can’t look away either.

I’d say that the last part was like a throwback for the 90s kids who grew up watching Joe and Jerry (the adult actors). They didn’t seem to even try to make them look or act similar to their younger counterparts because I felt it was more for the viewers to feel like they were seeing old friends, which is why “Long time no see” hit me really hard because it had been a long time for me too.
Hey, did I miss anything or why did they censor the only kiss scene we’ve got? The FL kissed the ex in the very first episode and for the ML we get a fade out?
