This has to be the most confusing special episode I've ever watched. Gene felt very much OOC (out of character) most of the time; he was my favourite character in the series but he was kind of a jerk here... I wouldn't recommend it unless you desperately miss NubsibGene, as there are a few really cute scenes and, as always, KaoUp have good chemistry.
I don’t know how to say this but our two main boys have really good bickering chemistry lol their back-and-forth are absolutely hilarious I was really entertained by this episode
This might be an unpopular opinion on MDL but I much prefer Squid Game over Alice in Borderland.
I had watched Squid Game the minute it came out, as I am a fan of Park Hee Soo, and I did enjoy it tremendously. Was it the best Korean drama ever created? Not really. Was I still overjoyed to see it blow up on a worldwide scale? Yes!
I've heard of Alice in Borderland probably since it came out, especially on Twitter. However, I was never into Japanese media, thus never bothered to give it a try despite all the hype it got. But after watching SG, I decided to watch it, since everyone was saying how much better AIB was. So I watched it and, in all honesty, was pretty disappointed. AIB wasn't a bad drama, not at all. The concept and games were mind-blowing and the plot was thrilling. But something was missing. Maybe was it the emotions as you mentioned in your article (in SG, the emotions were so raw and the emotional scenes were so intense and memorable)? Or maybe even the characters (I had more difficulty relating to or enjoying the characters in AIB than I did with SG)? It could also simply be the fact that I am not used to Japanese dramas/movies and their culture yet.
Overall, I believe the popularity of a show is the result of the combination of good quality (which both dramas have) and a whole lot of chance/opportunities (which for some reason SG had more). So yeah, I do prefer SG over AIB. But am I still gonna tune in for AIB season 2? Yes, most probably lol.
this was the last bl i have watched and since then i just can't get over its effect i am shocked how can a creator…
Your Name Engraved Herein (2020) is a taiwanese BL movie that topped the charts in Taiwan in 2020 for its beautiful cinematography, brilliant acting and amazing OSTs. Dare I say that Your Name Engraved Herein is the movie equivalent of ITSAY!
I hope there's more to Hyun's character besides the kind boy-next-door type of 2ML; I would love to see him turn…
I loved the scene where he smiled right after almost beheading the uncle; it makes his character so exciting and more interesting! I hope it will not be the last time we see that side of him.
I hope there's more to Hyun's character besides the kind boy-next-door type of 2ML; I would love to see him turn evil or have a dark secret. His dimpled smile combined with a dark persona would be such a killer combo; just look at when Nam Yoon Su played Ki Tae in Extracurricular (2020) !
