I haven’t read any of Han Kang’s books yet but now I kind of wish I could see the documentary.

I heard about this remake a long time ago, then didn’t hear more, so I was hoping someone wisely dropped it. The themes are so specific to the situation in Korea that a remake seems silly to me.

I have a feeling this show is going to make me very sad but I do love Lee Se Young. Maybe I'll wait until it's finished.

I do see what you mean. I’m sure it’s not going to be a deep or nuanced take on the concepts of sin and punishment. And the idea that so many humans are irredeemable trash is kind of gross.

To be perfectly honest I think the teaser looks pretty cheesy. But I do like Park Shin Hye so I’ll probably check it out. I don’t want to judge the whole show based on the teaser.

It looks interesting but I read The Dinner and it was a good book but an uncomfortable read. Still might be interesting to see the Korean take on the premise though.

I think maybe some people expect all male leads to be “pretty” as opposed to “handsome.” But generally when I’m told actors aren’t good looking enough I’m baffled, including in this case.

My first was Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Netflix advertised it to me and I was interested because it was about an autistic character. I thought maybe it would be hard to understand because I wasn’t familiar with Korean culture but I loved it. I’ve seen almost 50 Kdramas now and Extraordinary Attorney Woo is still one of my favorites.

I think the headline is really misleading - he’s mostly just emphasizing that animals are treated well on set.

I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

I think he is such a versatile actor! I saw him first in My Roommate is a Gumiho when I was relatively new to Kdramas and t hen I watched My Mister where he was a totally different character, even looked different, and now I’m watching Atypical Family where he is playing yet another type of character and doing so well. I relate to his character’s depression.

I’m not usually one for second leads but the fact that he’s a rock musician is making me feel very kindly toward him.

I’m wondering the same thing. I thought the first two episodes were great and it looks like at least some other people agree.

I think Subway must have sunk half their advertising budget into My Roommate is a Gumiho. But I still enjoyed the show.
