after the battle in gu mountain, changyu leaves with changning and grand tutor tao to go to the jizhou army. she wanted to earn military achievements because she wants to have confidence in herself to walk side by side with xie zheng. they said she could achieve those things while she is with the yanzhou army but she wanted to be a self made woman. wanting no help from the marquis.

i like that changyu wanted to save qianqian but i think this was a better motivation for her storywise and more romantic ❤️
