The ML being an absolute marshmallow (in the best way possible) and Veronica Park's hilarious antics were the best parts of this show. The FL's character dropped the rating for me because she was just horrible and I ended up skipping through just to finish.
I normally don't critic rom-coms too harshly, but this one was just that much of a let down for something that had potential...

I had watched it because of Kim Seon-ho and expected to have a hard SL syndrome like many viewers but turned out…
I was just going to comment the exact same thing when I scrolled down and noticed your comment!
Since this aired, I heard/read so many people go on about the SL syndrome that I actually put off watching this drama. For me, I didn't feel that even once throughout the show. Totally agree that SL had way more touching moments with the grandma. His scenes with Dal Mi just didn't give me any romantic vibes - more of an older brother honestly. Really enjoyed the show though.

Honestly felt like this could have been 16 episodes if they didn't throw in so many talks/meetings with the building…
Okay, so now for my spoiler review/rant hahah

That scene with Jang Han Seo being shot had my watching group super annoyed. He finally made a stand and the ML unties the FL, and then what? ML walks an uninjured FL to the door when Han Seo is trying to fight someone he obviously has no chance against.
Untie the FL and tell her to run; then it's 2 vs 1 on the villain and the situation gets handled with probably less casualties! Instead, 2 down and bad guy gets away? LOL Had to pause at this part because we were so annoyed as we felt the ML was written to be smarter than that. And yes, that whole argument of "things are different in the moment" - but we were just disappointed after they built him up to be so cool/smart. Also Jang Han Seo was like a tormented puppy so we were sad

As for the scenes with the building tenants, we felt there could have been less of them where they were discussing or trying to find the gold. They felt like filler parts.

The ending was gruesome but fit the crimes the villains commit, so we were happy with it.

Honestly felt like this could have been 16 episodes if they didn't throw in so many talks/meetings with the building tenants lol. I really didn't want to fast forward during my binge watch, but ending up doing that during some scenes in the second half.

That being said, I'd still recommend watching. Great acting, an interesting plot, and the writer did well with inserting comedic scenes/lines between the more heavy parts of the show to lighten it up a bit.

Watched this because I heard a lot of hype around this drama, but unfortunately it just wasn't something I personally enjoyed. For sure there were some funny scenes but I think the type of humour just wasn't to my taste. It was definitely more of a sitcom rather than a drama; though I've tried that genre before (High Kick series for example) and have enjoyed those dramas more than this one - yes, even when that series had over a hundred episodes lol

Not sure if I should try the second season now because I do like the actresses they cast...

Enjoyed this show a lot! FL had me cheering out loud with some of her lines/scenes and at the same time a few episodes had me crying so much my eyes looked horribly puffy the next day - thankfully we're in lockdown so I wasn't going anywhere haha. Side characters are hilarious and to be honest I'll probably end up re-watching this eventually.

In comparison to the film version, I'd say that while the film had an insanely good cast, I preferred this one because of the comedy and all the great characters. I think those side storylines would have been too much for the film though so it's understandable that they didn't have anything like that.

I hated GGS1 originally but ended up watching it half way after watching ggs2 and realizing why he is always looking…
Hahah that's fair enough. I'll give it a try someday.
On You Are My Destiny Apr 5, 2021
Started out really great and probably could've been my favourite version...but wow. Those last 10 episodes or so had me dropped the rating so much. I skipped a lot of it because it dragged on and everyone was just so ridiculous. They all needed therapy imo lol
I keep seeing people rave about GGS1 but I actually dropped that after two episodes because I got annoyed that the ML kept yelling and looked so angry hahah. Maybe I'll try again though because seems like a lot of people like that first one.

That being said, while it sounds like some found this show to be boring, I actually enjoyed it. Not a 10/10 of course, but I'd hold it to an 8. Might be personal preference or the fact that I didn't watch the first one...
On While You Were Sleeping Mar 29, 2021
It's somehow taken me years to finish this drama even though I love the cast. Not sure why I dropped it everytime I tried to watch, because it was actually pretty good once I got through it :)

Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I really thought that the main couple should not have been together at the end. Being in my 30s and having this marriage discussion with those around me has made me realize the importance of self-respect, goals and personal values. They really do want different things in life and neither is wrong in this. If they stay together, then one of them will always end up sacrificing their own values for the other. Unfortunately, that can often lead to resentment as well. Life goals can always change, but values tend to remain consistent. The ML seems to value family and marriage as a priority while she does not. It's interesting to note that they don't really touch on her family at all in the drama. It just felt that they went back and forth throughout the drama and in the end, nothing was actually resolved. Just my opinion though...

Sorry that rant went on for longer than even I expected lol

Overall enjoyed the show, and Cha Hyeon - Sul Ji Hwan were adorable.

I watched this expecting something along the lines of My ID is Gangnam Beauty but this had a different charm to it. For me this show was more of an emotional roller coaster. I'd be laughing like crazy and then the next second bawling my eyes out. (Might have woken up with swollen eyes the next day too lol.) The fact that they were able to pull off the different tones was really impressive and I truly enjoyed the show.

Edited side note: I'm glad I didn't read the comments below before watching because it might have deterred me hahah. A lot of comments about how overrated this is and comparisons to the webtoon. Honestly, I haven't seen the webtoon and have no plan to read it. Also came in with a clear head and no real expectations on anything - it was just a random drama I decided to watch. Anyways, I enjoyed it as a standalone :)

Overall a cute concept I guess, even if the female lead character irked me sometimes...
Personally, this is also one of the few times where I've felt kind of uncomfortable with how controlling the lead male character is during certain parts. Maybe because I just watched a segment about toxic behaviour in relationships? It kind of made watching this a bit of a struggle for me.
On My Little Happiness Feb 23, 2021
I had trouble finding a C-drama that I enjoyed since watching Love020 a few years ago and this is it. No ridiculous drama/misunderstanding that drags on. No evil parents. No SLS. It's great.

I've been in a slump for quite a while and have mainly been re-watching older dramas. This was the first drama in a long time that I was actually fully absorbed in and ended up binge watching. Surprised that there are quite a few people who didn't like the female lead even after watching the whole show though; as personally I loved her character development. I'll definitely end up re-watching this a lot for the adorable romance and chemistry between the actors.

I'm on episode 10. So far, this is another lakorn where the FL's misplaced gratitude makes her dumber than a box…
I just finished watching and came here to say the same thing. Actually I was going to write a whole rant but am holding back haha
In summary, female lead has to be one of the most frustrating characters I've seen. I think maybe we've been spoiled recently with smart female leads so this just didn't hold up for me.

Gokusen was actually one of my first dramas. I remember rewatching it as well...I truly enjoyed it. The feeling…
Gokusen was one of my first dramas too. I was a big fan of Akame back then, but season one was bigger the classic for me (between the casting and storyline). Rewatched S1 and 2 last year and enjoyed them just as much as I did over 10 years ago :)

Seems like a lot of people liked the show, but for me this missed the mark - which is too bad because I really like the main actresses.

While the storyline itself was interesting, I found the show really dragged on and I didn't really like the characters. I ended up skipping forward a lot - especially towards the end when it was just ridiculous for me.

Hey, sorry! To be honest I watched this so long ago that I can't really remember :(
