Bai Jing Ting looks so much different then in “You are my hero. “His body changed a lot. He is not skinny…
Hmm not sure you read the novel before, but FF is in WYF's perspective, hence SZ may appear outgoing in her view as she is curious about this sister in her older brother's life, and SY did ask SZ for help to get the WYF's attention. Also SY is not clueless and cannot approach WYF properly. It's his way of caring for her. He knows WYF is an independent, reserved and doesn't like to receive help for "free". He tend to do things for her without letting her know its from him. WYF also like SY since their high school period, just that because of her family problem, she think that SY deserve a better person, and she shouldnt drag him into her problem hence she is very close off.

While I see your perspective, I doubt YSS would hop on the horse with CY. His commitment to brotherhood is undeniable, and abandoning comrades on the battlefield for the sake of being with CY goes against his own core value. The decision to confront the Pan intrusion, despite the option to ignore it, reflects their dedication to the welfare of the villagers and those impacted by the war. Even if YSS could escape, his comrades would still endure the consequences and meet their fate on the battlefield.
