I read lots of people being disappointed at it so I just went in without much expectations, it wasn't too bad. Can't say it's amazing and one of the best movies ever but it's not bad enough to be criticized harshly. I enjoyed it and I'm surprised it kept me hooked for most of the movie.
I've read the manga and I absolutely loved it but I didn't have much expectation for this bc I wasn't sure how they could execute it well, but they did it! It's great so far.
I don't think it was too bad! As someone who has read the original manga, I think the cast did well (I remember thinking Araki Yuko would suit the main character a lot when I first saw the cast) and the story wasn't too bad for a movie. Not outstanding, but not too bad as a fan of the manga.
Although I agree some bits were overacted, but there are some that weren't and I need to thank the amazing cast for that! I think everyone acted really well. The drama really did convey strong messages that is very relevant to this day. Honestly the whole drama felt like a whole lesson to me, I learnt new things every episode and it made me think, which is essentially what they were aiming for. Characters were also interesting and likeable, overall very enjoyable drama!
This sounds so good and the stills I've seen look amazing ;A; Can't wait but also I'm scared second lead syndrome will hit me hard on this one like always :')
I think the first few episodes started off super funny and interesting but I gradually lost interest as they started to focus less on the romance between the two main leads. That's just my personal preference though, I probably wanted more romance but I think this drama was meant to be more comedy/episodic focused.
Pretty good! I like how it kind of started off as a twist to the usual, typical drama of "good, poor girl" gets caught in a love triangle and there's a "rich, evil girl" which in this case is the main character except she's not really 'evil'. It's like a drama told in the perspective of the usual 2nd female lead, just in the first part of the drama though. Also very surprised but happy that Zhang YuXi and Kenji Chen became a couple irl *-* always love seeing drama couples turn into real life couples :)
Haven't watched the Japanese drama so I can't compare but this drama is really good! Amazing chemistry between the two leads (like hello DID YOU SEE THAT BED SCENE, it was the most beautiful and cutest bed scene I've seen). Honestly wasn't a fan of the sibling misunderstanding, it lasted one episode and honestly didn't feel like it added much to the drama except to make it more dramatic and personally I didn't like it :') Probably bc it was kinda predictable and also we all knew it was wrong and a misunderstanding anyway. The ending isn't happy, and it certainly didn't end the way I wanted (happy ending) but nevertheless, it made the drama a lot more beautiful and left me depressed every time I get reminded of them :(
I'm surprised I'm enjoying this drama so much! Can't pin point why exactly, but I've been loving all the characters a lot. Although I love the main two leads a lot, the second lead syndrome is strong on this one for me :') Falling for Dong Fang Shi more and more as the drama goes on :')
The ending isn't happy, and it certainly didn't end the way I wanted (happy ending) but nevertheless, it made the drama a lot more beautiful and left me depressed every time I get reminded of them :(
