Regarding her choose I think she was not clear enough about her feelings and that was the reason he turned against her. In my opinion it was not betrayal, just a statement "Look at me! My favorite was Dam Duk, but not Queen Seon Duk, because she didn't choose Bi Dam, one of the best characters in Kdrama history (in my opinion, Kim Nam Gil's best role).
