I feel the same way. That is why I go for happy endings. This one struck a raw nerve.

Oh yes, Monga! It's so underrated :( One of my favourite movies
Thanks! I was wondering about whether to place it first on the Taiwan panel because of the low number of watchers but it is a unique movie, so I did.

Lustful attraction has an expiry date. Assuming this entire thing was not a publicity stunt, they took the idea of love very casually. The passionate form of love is transient and can be measured objectively through hormonal composition, lasts 3-18 months depending on intensity and frequency, and relationships survive on deeper forms including friendship as described in the Greek 7 types of love. No one should decide to marry on the basis of mere lust.

It is really good and there is a dispiriting ending but if you could discount that, then it is an action must…
The last four minutes or so make little sense and without them the show ends nicely. I just assumed that ending didn't exist since the originally intended ending was changed when the ML couldn't return for season 2.

I haven't watched any of these, not even Iwo Jima because I was tired of the iconic flags scene. Now with recommendations I can decide on watching them. You do seem to have a handpicked list :)

It was superb throughout, but with a terrible last few minutes. i don't agree that killing off the ML was necessary just because he did not have dates for the sequel. hey could have easily lived elsewhere and as they were out of the system, were irrelevant to IRIS. Seung Hee did not even feature n the sequel. so, having them just disappear was good enough. For myself, I assume the show ending while he was driving. It appears that a happy ending had been planned originally anyway.

Lead dies for no reason ...its bullshit and I feel it destroyed the drama. Up until he died it was good ... then…
It feels like bullshit because it is. The lead did not have time for a second season and so it is very strongly rumoured that the happy ending was changed in a hurry. The mismatch in the ending can be seen in the difference between the ending of IRIS (the movie) and this. I assume that the last scene did not happen because even the writers had not intended it initially.

It's not a rare thing in Korean dramas to combine several completely different genres, but it's hard to make them…
I read the comments about her character before I watched and this made me apprehensive at first. But I found that her actions though very wrong could be plausible. When she decided to reflect, she did so honestly and thereafter she was so courageous. Real. Her shy flirtations with Bok Soo were the highlight for me. I could easily watch another series of just Bok Soo and his school exploits while romancing Soo Jeong. I gave it a 10 in my review.

Glad to see you read it. I wondered whether anyone would browse an older comment thread. I haven't come across my Incenseption idea anywhere else.

It is such a coincidence that I am rewatching this right now. I also felt the same way about Do Min Joon's change but as I have not read the rabbit book, I missed some connections. That story has similarities with the story of the tin soldier.
