Reading the comments here makes me feel like I’m the odd one out. 🤣 Am I seriously the only one who doesn’t have a problem with the plot or the writing?
I’m usually super picky. Before starting this show, I had set my expectations way down—like, Cocomelon level. 😂 But honestly? It’s doing way better than I thought.
Yeah, the story moves kinda slow and it’s not super deep. But to me, it’s not illogical either, which is more than I can say for a lot of other shows I’ve dropped because of dumb writing.
Nin obviously gets how important power is, and he’s trying to build himself up before going after anything else. And it’s clear he trusts Ran and knows he’s looking for his dad. Honestly, if he pushed harder, it’d just come off as ridiculous—there’s really nothing he can do right now. It makes more sense for him to secure his position first so he can protect himself and his dad later.
And oh. my. god. That last scene in episode 7… I can’t even. I’m speechless. I actually dropped ZNN’s previous series 'cause I didn’t vibe with their chemistry, but here? Damn. The chemistry is unreal. The tension between them is jumping off the screen! It’s crazy. That scene was straight-up a masterpiece.
So yeah, I think people just need to chill a bit. Don’t take the show too seriously. It’s not trying to be something super deep. Just sit back, enjoy the calm vibe. Like sitting by a river and watching the water flow—it’s totally worth it.
